Satellite deployer door with clutch bearing

A satellite dispenser door assembly is disclosed. In various embodiments, a satellite dispenser door assembly as disclosed herein includes a dispenser door having a hinge pin; and a one way clutch bearing within which the hinge pin is free to rotate in a first rotational direction associated with a transition from a closed position of the dispenser door to an open position of the dispenser door.

Multi-Orbital Transfer Vehicle Constellation and Method of Use

A modular and scalable system to transfer space articles between space orbits. In one embodiment, the system employs a rendezvous vehicle which docks with a space article in an initial orbit, the connected stack then docking with a locomotive vehicle which maneuvers to a targeted orbit where the space article is detached. In one feature, the rendezvous vehicle and locomotive vehicle use a common propellant and the space article is a satellite.

Systems and Methods for Adjusting the Orbit of a Payload

To efficiently delivering payloads to respective orbits, a payload is received from a launch vehicle at a spacecraft operating as an orbital transfer vehicle. The payload is transferred, using the spacecraft, to a second orbit in accordance with a predefined fixed schedule that specifies at least the second orbit and a plurality of times at which the spacecraft transitions between the first and the at least second orbit.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING AN INITIAL ORBIT OF SATELLITES POST DEPLOYMENT
20210179298 · 2021-06-17 ·

A system for determining an initial orbit of an object launched from an orbiting launch vehicle has a sensor affixed to the launch vehicle. The sensor transmits electromagnetic signals toward the launched object launched and receives signals reflected therefrom as reflected signals. A navigation subsystem determines a relative position of the sensor to the earth. A command and data handling subsystem receives the reflected signals and the determined relative position to the earth and determines a position of the object launched from the launch vehicle relative to earth.

In various embodiments, a satellite door dispenser as disclosed herein includes a wire or cable having a first end configured to be secured in a structure comprising or coupled to a dispenser body of a satellite dispenser and a second end configured to be secured in a structure comprising or coupled to a dispenser door of the satellite dispenser; and a pyrotechnic cutter configured to receive the wire or cable in a position to cut the wire or cable upon firing of the pyrotechnic cutter.

MARITIME COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BASED ON LOW EARTH ORBIT SATELLITE AND UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE

The present disclosure relates to a maritime communication system based on low earth orbit satellites and an unmanned aerial vehicle. The maritime communication system according to one embodiment may include one or more maritime users, one or more satellites connected to a network operator, and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for relaying communication between the maritime users and the satellites.

SAMPLING METHOD AND SAMPLING SYSTEM

A sampling method includes: obtaining topographical information about a predetermined wide area by using a first sensor on a work machine; selecting a candidate area within the wide area, the candidate area is less than an area of the wide area, and setting a movement route based on the information about the wide area, the movement route allows a distal end portion of an arm provided on the work machine to reach a preparation position without coming into contact with an obstacle, the preparation position being located above the candidate area; moving the distal end portion of the arm along the movement route to the preparation position, and obtaining topographical information about the candidate area by using a second sensor on the distal end portion of the arm; and specifying a sampling point based on the information about the candidate area and performing sampling at the specified sampling point.
