CONTAINER WITH THERMALLY FUSED DOUBLE-SEAMED OR CRIMP-SEAMED METAL END
A container includes a metal end applied and sealed to an all-thermoplastic container body by a crimp-seaming or double-seaming operation. The metal end has an outer curl joined to a chuck wall that extends down from the curl. One or both of the inner surface of the container side wall and the outer surface of the chuck wall has/have a heat-sealable material thereon. The metal end is crimp-seamed or double-seamed to the container body and the heat-sealable material(s) are heated to soften or melt such that the interface between the chuck wall and the side wall is fused. The interface is oriented along a direction relative to internal pressure exerted on the metal end such that stress on the interface caused by the internal pressure is predominantly shear stress.
CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR A BAG AND A METHOD OF CLOSING THE BAG
A closure assembly for a bag, comprises, a first closure having a first longitudinal member, the first longitudinal member having a first end and a second end, the longitudinal member being provided with a clamping arrangement adapted to clamp a bag, the clamping arrangement comprising a first clamp at the first end and a second clamp at the second end, wherein, a bottom surface of the longitudinal member comprises two edges adapted to be separated under force and snap into a closed position elastically, wherein the first clamp and the second clamp are adapted to limit the separation between the two edges and a second closure having a second longitudinal member, the second longitudinal member having a hollow cross section defining a cavity adapted to receive the first closure.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE HIGH-SPEED APPLICATION OF PAPER-BASED END CLOSURES ON COMPOSITE CONTAINERS
A system for assembling a container and closure comprising an expanding collet which has a plurality of pivoting collet segments, each configured to simultaneously pivot radially outward about a pivot point and comprising. The collet comprises a lip that is engageable with the rim of the open end of the container and an angled tip positioned radially inward from the lip and shaped to press a countersink portion of the closure against an interior wall of the container as the collet segments pivot radially outward. As the container and the chuck are brought together, the rim engages with the lips of the collet segments and causes the angled tips of the collet segments to pivot outward toward the interior wall of the container, thereby pushing the countersink portion of the closure against the interior wall of the container.
METHOD FOR SECURING A STOPPER ON A CONTAINER, SECURING STATION FOR SECURING A CONTAINER CLOSED BY A STOPPER
A method for securing a stopper on a container using a closure cover with the aid of a securing station, in which, during the securing, carries out measurements of quantities, in particular movement quantities, about an axis in order to assess the securing operation, and the detected measured values are assessed in order to detect insufficiently secured containers.
Packaging container
It is to provide a packaging container comprising: a synthetic resin container body having a flange part at a periphery of an opening at an upper end thereof; and a container cap having a top board part and a skirt part provided such that it is suspended from a-periphery of the top board part, and wherein the top board part is heat-sealed onto an upper surface of the flange part of the container body; wherein the packaging container has a first cutout part at an upper end of an outer edge of the flange part. By providing a first cutout part, a packaging container possible to achieve sealing with the container cap stably, and to open the sealing easily and surely as well can be provided, by suppressing the effect of a molten resin on a folded corner part of the skirt of the container cap when the container body is heat-sealed with the container cap.
AN APPARATUS FOR CLOSING A FLUID CONTAINER
The subject matter discloses a capping apparatus comprising: a top plate connected to a fluid container, said top plate comprises an apparatus opening through which fluid is dispersed from the fluid container; wherein the apparatus opening is defined by an opening wall; a rigid cork that is slide-ably moveable between a first state in which a cork is snapped into the apparatus opening and a second state where the cork is snapped out of the apparatus opening, wherein the cork moves between the first state and the second state in a horizontal direction.
RE-SEALABLE CONTAINER FOR A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE HAVING A CHILD RESISTANT LID
Provided is a re-sealable container for storing, preserving, identifying, tracking and transporting a federally controlled substance having a child resistant and senior friendly lid, and a process for identifying and tracking federally controlled substances within the re-sealable containers. The re-sealable federally controlled substance containers include a two-piece child resistant and senior friendly lid and a 2-factor authentication identification tag, as well as a microchip for identifying the container controlled substance contents and tracking the container. Controlled substance contents within the re-sealable containers are optimized for long term storage by removal of the oxygen therein, and the containers and controlled substance contents can be readily identified, detected, tracked and traced after being filled with a federally controlled substance.
Method and machine for assembling rigid tubular bodies made from a cardboard material with a sealing structure
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing packages comprising a tubular body made from a cardboard material and a sealing structure made from a cardboard material, and machines implementing said method, comprising supplying a sealing unit (2) with preformed tubular bodies, two by two, and with sealing structures in the form of flat portions, two by two, each one comprising a central part with a shape conjugated to the shape of the opening of the tubular bodies, surrounded by a peripheral portion that can be folded down that is sufficient to assemble a sealing structure sealably with the inner side wall of the tubular body, inserting pairs of sealing structures into a forming tool (7), and forming them in a bowl, inserting, placing and sealing bowls in the tubular bodies using said forming tool; transferring, two by two, the tubular bodies assembled to the sealing structures to a finishing unit (10), if the sealing structure is a lid, precutting (14) the side wall of said tubular body and partially precutting said lid along a peripheral line, at least one finishing operation for the end of the package bearing said sealing structure.
Thermoplastic bottle with valve cup retaining protrusions and method of crimping a valve cup on a thermoplastic bottle
A thermoplastic bottle has a crimped valve cup and a method of manufacturing a thermoplastic bottle includes crimping a valve cup to such a bottle. The thermoplastic bottle and valve cup may be used in a system to dispense aerosol products. At least one protrusion extends from a flange of the bottle to which the valve cup is crimped. Prior to being crimped to the bottle, the valve cup is set to the bottle with an interference fit between a crimping portion of the valve cup and the protrusion. The interference fit prevents shifting of the valve cup from its set position on the bottle prior before the valve cup is crimped.
