Method and apparatus for filling capsules with loose material and for their sealing
A method and an apparatus for filling capsules with loose material and for their sealing, in which the plates equipped with a plurality of housings designed to accommodate respective capsules are carried on after another, by conveyor devices, to a plurality of operating stations, at each of which the capsules relative to each plate are subjected to respective manipulations by at least one manipulating device; the plates being supported in a removable manner by the conveyor means, and at each operating station there being a device for locking the plates which can be activated by a management unit, for stopping at least one plate at a time at the operating station for a predetermined time for it to be manipulated by at least one manipulating device and for releasing at least one plate at a time at the end of the manipulating of the at least one manipulating device.
Closure unit consisting of cover and vessel, closure cover and closing method
What is proposed is a closure unit consisting of a glass container (50) with external, circumferentially offset threaded elements (54, 55) on a container neck (52) of the glass container, and a closure cover made of sheet metal, wherein the closure cover (1, 2) has an encircling plastics layer (30; 30h, 30v) on the inside of the cover. The closure cover is pressed onto the container neck (52) and can be opened with a rotational movement via the threaded elements (54, 55) and a vertical section (30v) of the plastics layer. The container neck (52) has a horizontal end surface (52a) on which a horizontal section (30h) of the plastics layer rests under pressure in a sealing manner. A central region (11) of the closure cover passes with an adjoining, circumferentially oriented transition zone (11a, 11b, 11c) into an axially downwardly projecting skirt section (12) which ends in a roll-up region (21a, 21; 22). The plastics layer (30; 30h, 30v) is arranged on the inside of the cover in a manner adhering to the transition zone (11a, 11b, 11c) and the skirt section (12). An axial extent (h.sub.0) of the skirt section (12) and a radial dimension (b52) of the horizontally oriented end surface (52a) of the container neck (52) form a first ratio (v.sub.1) which is smaller than three.
Beverage cartridge filling and sealing system
Disclosed herein is a beverage cartridge assembler. A dispensing element stores a certain amount of a substance for brewing. A carriage secures an open beverage cartridge beneath the dispensing element. Actuation of a lever rotates the dispensing element to release a certain amount of the substance from the dispensing element into the open beverage cartridge. The lid of the beverage cartridge is sealed as the carriage moves along a first axis. A beverage cartridge includes sidewalls with a plurality of vertical notches to permit the sidewalls to flex inward. The sidewalls include a first filter, and a bottom portion that includes a second filter thicker than the first filter.
Method and System for Closing a Receptacle
A method of closing an open end of a receptacle having a wall with an inner wall surface. The method includes providing an end element including an internal portion thereof formed for at least partial engagement thereof with the wall. One or more heating elements are provided, for heating a heated layer of the internal portion to a hot working temperature in an inert atmosphere. When the heated layer is at the hot working temperature, an engagement part of the heated layer is engaged with a preselected part of the wall. One or both of the receptacle and the end element are subjected to an engagement motion relative to the other while the engagement part and the preselected part are engaged for plastic deformation thereof, to at least partially bond the heated layer and the wall of the receptacle together to form a gastight container assembly.
Manufacturing machine for the production of disposable cartridges for electronic cigarettes
A manufacturing machine for producing disposable cartridges for electronic cigarettes can have a manufacturing drum supporting at least one group of seats, each adapted to receive a component of the disposable cartridge; and a feeding unit which feeds the components of the disposable cartridges to the seats. Each seat has a housing through channel crossing the manufacturing drum from side-to-side to contain a component and a pair of opposite jaws mounted in the housing channel and movable between a gripping position, in which they engage a component arranged in the housing channel and a transfer position, in which they do not engage the component. Each pair of jaws has two teeth arranged at the top and projecting from the corresponding jaws towards the center of the seat, so that the two teeth hold the component inside the seat at the top when the two jaws are in the gripping position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE HIGH-SPEED APPLICATION OF PAPER-BASED END CLOSURES ON COMPOSITE CONTAINERS
A system for assembling a container and closure comprising an expanding collet which has a plurality of pivoting collet segments, each configured to simultaneously pivot radially outward about a pivot point and comprising. The collet comprises a lip that is engagable with the rim of the open end of the container and an angled tip positioned radially inward from the lip and shaped to press a countersink portion of the closure against an interior wall of the container as the collet segments pivot radially outward. As the container and the chuck are brought together, the rim engages with the lips of the collet segments and causes the angled tips of the collet segments to pivot outward toward the interior wall of the container, thereby pushing the countersink portion of the closure against the interior wall of the container.
Apparatus and method for closing a sample container
An applicator assembly (100) for closing a sample container (500) with a plug (16) is proposed. The applicator assembly comprises a magazine (102) configured to store a string (10) comprising polymer-based material, an insertion device (104) configured to insert an end piece (12) of the string at least partly into an opening (502) of the sample container (500), and a drive system (106) configured to supply at least a part of the string (10) from the magazine (102) to the insertion device (104). The applicator assembly further comprises a separator (108) configured to separate the end piece (12) from the string, such that the end piece (12) forms a plug (16) closing the sample container (500).
TRAY FOR SOFT MATERIALS AND METHODS OF LOADING TRAYS WITH SOFT MATERIALS
A tray for receiving sausages is provided. The tray includes cells which are adapted to substantially match the shape of sausages or other soft materials. The tray may be vacuum sealed to cause a relatively uniform top surface suitable for stacking. The tray may be sealed without pre-freezing the sausages and without causing significant deformation to said sausages upon thawing. The tray may be loaded in an automated manner without the use of robotic arms placing individual sausages into the tray.
