Ultrasonic sealing apparatus
An ultrasonic sealing apparatus for paper packages achieves more stable ultrasonic sealing by cooling the horn during ultrasonic sealing which would otherwise be unstable due to heat imparted to a horn by continuous sealing. An end portion of a horn of a casing that includes the horn and a converter, or the horn, a booster and the converter is cooled by supplying air to a frame portion exposed toward an anvil side.
Bottom-gusseted package and heat-sealing method
A bottom-gusseted package comprises a package body, and a bottom gusset positioned transversely of a longitudinal axis of the package body. Formation of the bottom-gusseted package is effected by positioning individual sleeves transversely of the longitudinal axis of a flexible web which forms the package body. During package formation, the flexible web is cut to form individual packages, with each individual sleeve positioned to form a bottom gusset in a respective package. Cooperating heat-sealing jaws, including cooperating U-shaped sealing surfaces, act to integrate and seal each individual sleeve with the flexible web to form the bottom gusset of each package, with the heat-sealing jaws preferably configured to include cooperating top sealing surfaces for simultaneously forming a top seal in an adjacent one of the packages.
SEALING TOOL AND SEALED PACKAGE
A sealing tool for sealing a flexible packaging material comprises a first jaw including a first jaw surface and a second jaw including a second jaw surface with the respective jaw surfaces arranged opposite to each other. The first jaw surface includes a groove and the second jaw surface includes a ridge and wherein the groove on the first jaw surface and the ridge on the second jaw surface are designed to mate with each other when the jaw surfaces are moved towards each other. The groove on the first jaw surface has a groove bottom featuring a curved cross-section and the ridge has a ridge top featuring a curved cross-section.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing a tetrahedral package
A method of producing packages from a tube of packaging material for a liquid food product, comprises reforming a flat web of packaging material into a cylindrical tube, feeding the tube of packaging material in first direction, filling the tube with a liquid food product, transversally sealing the tube, at regular intervals, into separate package volumes, wherein a longitudinal axis of every second transversal seal being parallel to each other, and a longitudinal axis of each adjacent transversal seal being perpendicular to each other, and wherein a longitudinal axis of each transversal seal is angled in a range between 15-30 in relation to a plane which is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the tube of packaging material. Also disclosed is a packaging material for use in the method, a package produced with the method, and a filling machine performing the method.
Sealing and cutting unit for a form fill seal machine
An apparatus for packing articles, wherein the packing is formed by at least one web material, wherein typically a plurality of individual juxtaposed runs of web material and a number of more or less packed articles are conveyed on the runs, wherein the apparatus includes first mechanism which, during packing of articles, joins the web material continuously in its longitudinal direction, as well as other mechanisms for producing individual joints and for separation of the articles in a transverse direction of the web material, wherein the mentioned other mechanisms are arranged on moving means adapted to move in the same direction and at the same speed as the web material and the articles being packed, called the X-axis, and in a direction towards the web material and the articles arranged thereon, called the Y-axis.
A PACKAGING UNIT FOR PRODUCING SEALED PACKAGES CONTAINING A POURABLE FOOD PRODUCT FROM A TUBE OF PACKAGING MATERIAL
There is described a packaging unit (1) for producing sealed packages containing a pourable food product from a tube (2) of packaging material advanced along a first axis (A); the packaging unit (1) comprises: at least two jaws (10, 11) arranged on opposite sides of the first axis (A) and movable between a closed position, in which they grip and seal said tube (2) of packaging material at one of a plurality of equally spaced cross sections, and an open position, in which they are detached from the tube (2); at least two forming members (15) supported by the respective jaws (10, 11) in a movable manner between a first operating position, in which, in relation to the position of the jaws (10, 11), they have the maximum distance from one another, and a second operating position, in which, in relation to the closed position of the jaws (10, 11), they mate with one another and cooperate with the tube (2); and actuator means (20) to produce movement of the forming members (15) between the first operating position and the second operating position; the actuator means (20) comprise at least one mover (21) connected to both forming members (15) in any position of the jaws (10, 11) and selectively activated to perform opposite strokes, along which the mover (21) itself produces the movement of each forming members (15) in opposite directions.
Method and apparatus for vacuum packaging a product
A method and apparatus for vacuum packaging a product. According to one embodiment a film tube is generated, and, in the film tube a product (P) is introduced and at least one cut is made. In the method, a vacuum may also applied inside the film tube, and a transverse seal is formed therein, a film tube closed at one end being obtained upstream of the cut and a package closed at both ends being obtained downstream. Furthermore, the film tube is transversely pinched, a portion the inside of the film tube which is isolated from the inside of the rest of the film tube being obtained, and a chamber is demarcated around at least part of said portion, the vacuum being applied and the transverse sealing operation being performed inside said chamber.
Sealing bar
A method for providing an inductive sealing bar, comprises providing a conductive coil having at least one heating zone, embedding the coil in a supportive body such that the supportive body covers the entire coil along at least some part of the length of the at least one heating zone; and providing a sealing surface of the sealing bar by planarizing the coil and the supportive body such that the coil is exposed along the entire length of said at least one heating zone. The invention also relates to a sealing bar manufactured according to the method.
DEVICE AND MACHINE FOR MAKING FILTER BAGS OF TETRAHEDRAL SHAPE
