METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING A MATERIAL ONTO ARTICLES WITH A PRE-DISTORTED TRANSFER COMPONENT
Apparatuses and methods for applying a transfer material onto the surface of an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of transfer printing on and/or decorating three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles printed and/or decorated thereby. In some cases, the apparatuses and methods involve providing a deposition device, such as a printing device; providing a transfer component; depositing a material onto a portion of the transfer component with the deposition device; modifying the portion of the transfer component with the transfer material thereon to conform the transfer component to at least a portion of the surface of the three-dimensional article; and transferring the transfer material onto the surface of the article.
Systems and methods for performing quality assurance of branding of pharmaceutical/medical containers and computer assisted systems and methods for branding pharmaceutical/medical containers
In some embodiments, quality assurance systems for verifying branding of at least one medication container associated with at least one of a prescription and medication order are provided. The systems including: a transport system that transports at least one first container branded with a particular branding among a plurality of bran dings to and from a pharmaceutical and/or medical product dispensing system, and transports the at least one first container to the pharmaceutical and/or medical product dispensing system after correcting the particular branding when correction is performed; a scanning system including at least one scanner for scanning identification information associated with the at least one first container; a display that displays order information associated with the identification information received from the scanning system including information indicating a correct branding for the at least one first container; and a pharmacist station for determining whether the correct branding matches the particular branding and correcting the particular branding if the correct branding does not match the particular branding.
Systems and methods for applying labels to food products
Systems and methods for applying labels to food products include pulling a label on two part backing along a pathway comprising one or more rollers to a stripping point in a first direction, the two part backing comprising a first strip and a second strip. The two part backing is removed from the label by pulling the label from the first strip and the second strip at the stripping point using suction by either a pair of stacked v-shaped first and second plates or by angled nose rollers.
Printing apparatus and method of controlling driving of printing apparatus
Included are a first roller disposed upstream of a peeling unit, a second roller disposed downstream of the peeling unit, a first motor configured to drive the first roller, a second motor configured to drive the second roller, and a control unit. The control unit includes a first-motor control unit configured to adjust a first voltage applied to the first motor on the basis of information about a transport velocity and a transport acceleration of the label sheet, such that a load torque of the first motor is a target torque, and also includes a second-motor control unit configured to perform feedback control of a second voltage applied to the second motor on the basis of information about a transport velocity of a base sheet, such that the transport velocity of the base sheet is a target transport velocity.
Container processing machine
There is disclosed a container processing machine comprising a material handling surface for handling a sheet-like material through suction and a vacuum source in fluid connection with said material handling surface, the machine including means for detecting and transmitting a value of pressure of the gas being suctioned; a controllably operable flow valve; a control unit operatively connected with said detection and transmission means and with said flow valve; said detection and transmission means and said flow valve being arranged between said vacuum source and said material handling surface; said control unit being programmed to adjust the degree of opening of said flow valve in response to a signal which is a function of at least said value of pressure.
Automatic high speed labeling system
A high speed automatic produce labeling system is provided, having a label dispense cycle of less than 17 milliseconds and capable of dispensing and applying 1,000 labels per minute per lane. First and second direct gear drives are actuated by a single stepper motor. A removable label cassette is driven by the first direct gear drive; the cassette carries a label carrier strip. An improved Geneva wheel drive forms part of the first gear drive which substantially reduces jerk and tearing of the label carrier strip while maintaining high labeling speed. The label cassette includes several quick-change components allowing the system to apply different size labels. An improved tensioning system is provided, minimizing slipping and tearing of the label carrier strip. An improved stripper plate tip actuator is also provided.
AN APPARATUS FOR APPLYING LABELS ON PRODUCTS
An apparatus for processing, e.g., labelling, respective products, e.g., fruit and vegetables, contained in a suitable container, or crate, has a supporting framework, product feeder, and label applier having a plurality of label application devices provided or arranged side by side and/or arranged in a first and a second transversal row of devices. The apparatus may have an electronic processor for controlling the units of the apparatus, which, for each product, starting with the detected configuration of the respective batch, or crate of products, determine a product area, e.g., having a circular or oval shape, which is large enough to allow complete application of a corresponding label.
