HIGH-PURITY RICE PROTEIN POWDER, METHODS FOR PREPARATION AND APPLICATION THEREOF
20210120843 · 2021-04-29 ·

The present invention provides a high-purity rice protein powder. Preparation for the rice protein powder includes steps as follows: (1) crushing rice and adjusting slurry; (2) enzymolysis and filtering; (3) adjusting rice residue and crashing it; (4) adding a composite surfactant; (5) using a 12-stage cyclone washing device to separate light liquid phase from heavy liquid phase; (6) adding compound enzyme to the heavy liquid phase, thereby obtaining an enzymolysis solution; (7) spray sterilizing the enzymolysis solution, and using plate-and-frame member for filter-press, collecting a filter cake, drying by an airflow, and superfine grinding by dry processing, thereby obtaining the high-purity rice protein powder. The invention uses rice as raw material and a composite surfactant as the main means of degreasing and decellulose, thereby preparing a high-purity rice protein powder in high purity, mild processing technology, small changes in protein structure properties, better taste, and good suspension stability.

Microbial-based process for high-quality protein concentrate

The present invention describes a bio-based process to produce high quality protein concentrate (HQPC) by converting plant derived celluloses into bioavailable protein via aerobic incubation, including the use of such HQPC so produced as a nutrient, including use as a fish meal replacement in aquaculture diets.

A Process for Recovering Proteinaceous and/or Fibrous Material from Brewers' Spent Grains, and Use Thereof

A process of extracting or purifying proteinaceous material and/or fibraceous material from brewer's spent grain (BSG), the process comprising the steps of: Providing brewer's spent grain; Performing saccharification by enzymatic treatment of the brewer's spent grain and a fermentation of the saccharified brewer's spent grain with lactic acid bacteria and/or acetic acid bacteria and/or probiotics to obtain a fermented broth; and extracting and/or purifying proteinaceous and/or fibraceous material from the fermented BSG.

PROCESS FOR OBTAINING A CONCENTRATED PROTEIN-RICH PHASE FROM RESIDUES OF BIOETHANOL PRODUCTION

1) A method for obtaining a concentrated protein-rich phase from residues of bioethanol production.

2.1) Previously, the separation of a protein-rich phase from whole stillage from bioethanol production has been achieved either by the addition of chemicals or by process steps that are complex in terms of equipment and/or energy.

2.2) Whole stillage from bioethanol production is fed to a solid-liquid separation, and the liquid phase (thin stillage) resulting from this is partially returned to the mashing process. This recirculation increases the raw protein content in the process. Part of the thin stillage is diluted and fed to a simple separation process without the addition of chemicals and temperature treatment, with a protein-rich phase being obtained.

2.3) A protein-rich phase is obtained from residues of bioethanol production.

Enzymatic-Based Process for the Extraction of Value Added Products from Raw Biomasses

An enzymatic-based process of extracting value added products from oil seed and grain biomasses is described. The process comprises an alkaline pretreatment step followed by treatment with a proteolytic enzyme, and provides increased product yield and solubility. The products obtained can be soluble protein/peptide and purified dietary fiber. The use of such a process in the production of a food, drink, cosmetics, feed or feed additive product is also described.

The present technology provides a process comprising: subjecting flocculated thin stillage comprising stillage solids and a polymer flocculent to a barrel screen to separate a liquid stream from a solids stream, wherein the solids stream comprises flocs of the polymer flocculant and the stillage solids; combining the solids stream with an effective amount of a demulsifier and/or inorganic particles to form a treated solids mixture; aging the treated solids mixture for a period of time at a temperature of 160 to 212 F. to form an aged solids mixture; and separating oil and water from the aged solids mixture to provide a high protein cake comprising at least 35% dry weight crude protein.

FRACTIONATED STILLAGE SEPARATION AND FEED PRODUCTS

This disclosure describes methods to separate solids from liquids in a production facility. A process separates components in the process stream by applying non-condensable media to create density differences and then using a mechanical device to separate the solids from the liquids based on the density difference. The process produces the liquids and solids, which may be further processed to create valuable animal feed products.
