In one embodiment, an intelligent fishing system is provided to enable more accurate fishing in different water types and conditions. The system includes a fishing rod having a reel, the reel comprising at least a portion of a fiber optic cable, and a first device connected at or near a first end of the fiber optic cable, the first device having a controller and at least one camera. The system further includes a fiber optic receiver located at or near the fishing rod, the fiber optic receiver coupled to a second end the fiber optic cable and configured to receive optical signals from the first device through the fiber optic cable. Further, the system includes and a processor operably coupled to the fiber optic receiver and to a display.
FISHING LINE INFORMATION LEARNING SYSTEM
A fishing line information learning system includes a fishing reel having a first communication unit and a spool, and an electronic device having a camera to photograph the spool, a second communication unit to communicate with the first communication unit, and a first memory to store first information acquired by the camera. The fishing reel or the electronic device has a second memory to store a calculation formula to calculate a line winding amount of the fishing line from a first time point when the winding of the fishing line is started to a second time point when the winding of the fishing line is ended, and a controller to estimate a final line winding diameter at the second time point based on the first information at the second time point, and calculate the line winding amount based on the final line winding diameter and the calculation formula.

A fishing line information learning system includes a fishing reel having a first communication unit and a spool, and an electronic device having a camera to photograph the spool, a second communication unit to communicate with the first communication unit, and a first memory to store first information acquired by the camera. The fishing reel or the electronic device has a second memory to store a calculation formula to calculate a line winding amount of the fishing line from a first time point when the winding of the fishing line is started to a second time point when the winding of the fishing line is ended, and a controller to estimate a final line winding diameter at the second time point based on the first information at the second time point, and calculate the line winding amount based on the final line winding diameter and the calculation formula.
Fishing Data Calculation Method, Mobile Terminal, and Fishing Reel System
Disclosed are a fishing data calculation method, a mobile terminal, and a fishing reel system. The method includes: pre-constructing a winding database of different fishing lines wound to a spool of a fishing reel; acquiring a current winding length of a current fishing line on the spool; acquiring a current number of circles of unwinding of the spool during casting; and calculating a current unwinding length corresponding to the current number of circles of unwinding according to the winding database and the current winding length. In the disclosure, the winding database of the different fishing lines wound to the spool of the fishing reel is pre-constructed, and the unwinding length of the fishing line on the spool is calculated by an algorithm based on the fishing line selected by a user when the user performs fishing, thereby having the advantage of improving the calculation accuracy of the unwinding length.
