A spout for a paint container having a retracted position with the spout resting within the volume of the container and an extended position with a portion of the spout extending through the top opening of the can. When retracted, the can is sealable with a friction fit lid in the rim channel, as is commonly used with paint cans, or the assembly may include a collar mountable within a rim channel that accommodates the traditional paint can lid. Regardless of the embodiment, the spout is held within the can proximate to the rim and can quickly move between the extended and retracted positions with a flange on the lower portion of the spout sealing against the annular collar in the extended position and tabs on the top portion of the spout holding the spout near the rim when retracted.

The top member is secured to a spout of the storage container and is movable with the spout. The spout of the storage container is movable from a closed position to an open position thereby moving the top member away from the reservoir and separating the reservoir from the top member, which causes the reservoir to drop into the storage container to mix the catalyst with a material in the storage container.

The dispensing glands are released and prevent the liquid from touching potentially contaminated caps of the liquid product packaging which may have been in contact with polluting and contaminating agents. Protection meshes are fitted or secured to dispensing glands which close the packaging holes after they are opened. The protection meshes, apart from the gaps also prevent insects or objects from entering, have pre-selected pre-cut areas to allow users to insert drinking straws into the packaging.
