A container including a container body adapted for containing a liquid for storage and dispensing through an opening in the container body. An exterior recess is formed a wall of the container body and defines a location for a pour spout in a stowed position. The pour spout is attached to the container body and is movable between the stowed position within the recess and a deployed use position in liquid dispensing communication with the opening in the container body.

LID FOR A CONTAINER

A lid for covering the open end of a beverage container having: an annular base adapted to detachably and sealably engage with the circumference of a drinking edge of a container; an elevated portion projecting upwardly from the annular base; and a spout; the lid arranged and formed such that when in use with a container containing liquid and wherein the lid is securely fitted to the container a user is able to move the spout between a closed configuration which closes the open end of a container such that liquid is substantially prevented from escaping from the container and a drinking configuration which allows a user to drink the liquid contained within the container and also wherein in use the lid is adapted such that a user can squeeze the container or the elevated portion which results in the spout moving from a closed configuration to a drinking configuration.

The opening may unfold, in one embodiment, to an angle of, e.g., 90° which when the container is tilted extends past the edge of the container. The opening creates a spout when unfolded or opened. In embodiments, underneath the opening is a door that can control the flow of liquid from the container to the outside. The door may, for example, move up and down to control the flow of liquid. The spout/opening and/or container may include channels that can direct the flow of liquid. Optionally, the spout may be in the container and usable when the lid is removed.

A device (1) incorporated into in plastic material closure (7) for containers (4) featured by its novel arrangement. It consists of parallel vertical walls, preferably of square, rectangular section, or of another shape, with a tilting lid (3) inside. That lid, when at rest position (6), leans against the opposite vertical wall to determine the closing of the hole thanks to the symmetry between the walls and moves to an open position (8) when exerting pressure on the walls of the container (4). The closing position (6) is achieved when the pressure on the container stops.
