Child-resistant reclosable bags
The present disclosure relates to plastic or polymeric container (100) with reclosable zippers or reclosures (10) which make the package child-resistant. In one typical embodiment, this is achieved by a zipper or reclosure (10) including a tab (18) with a tab track (29) that engages with an opposite track (46) on an opposite profile. A user disengages the tab track (29) from the opposite track (46), typically by peeling, in order to open the remainder of the zipper or reclosure (10).
Hinged slider for a closure assembly
A hinged slider for a closure assembly of a bag includes a top wall and a pair of legs extending from the top wall. A first leg and a second leg of the pair each includes a top end attached to the top wall and a bottom end opposing the top end. A pair of wings is hingedly attached to the pair of legs. A first wing and a second wing of the pair of wings is each hingedly attached to the bottom end of the first leg and second leg, respectively, as a hinge mechanism. The first wing and the second wing hinge downwardly in order to install the slider onto the closure assembly.
CLOSURE STRIPS OF RESEALABLE ENCLOSURES AND METHODS OF TERMINATING THE CLOSURE STRIPS
A method includes obtaining an elongated supply strip formed from an elongated profile body and an elongated flange and modifying portions of the profile body and/or the flange in different locations along a length of the supply strip to define termination ends of closure strips. The supply strip is separated into at least one of the closure strips at the termination ends. The flange in the closure strip is coupled to one or more panels of a resealable enclosure, and the panels are partially sealed to define an opening into the resealable enclosure. The profile body is configured to repeatedly couple with and decouple from itself to close and open the opening in the resealable enclosure. The panels are sealed to each other such that the ends of the closure strip are sealed between the panels.
ZIPPER TAPE-EQUIPPED BAG BODY, ARTICLE HOUSING METHOD FOR ZIPPER TAPE-EQUIPPED BAG BODY, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR ZIPPER TAPE-EQUIPPED BAG BODY, AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE FOR ZIPPER TAPE-EQUIPPED BAG BODY
A female belt-shaped base is attached to a bag body at a region from a female hook to a first end near an open end of the bag body and to a second end near a housing space. A male belt-shaped base is attached to the bag body only in a bonding region without being attached at a region from a position where an engagement portion is continuously attached to a first end near the open end of the bag body.
CONTAINER HAVING A LEAK RESISTANT SEAL
Embodiments include a container with a leak resistant seal. The leak resistant seal provides access to the inside of the container when the leak resistant seal is open. The leak resistant seal includes first and second seal portions that are configured to be coupled together to close the container. A gap is arranged between ends of the first seal portion and the second seal portion, which provides an abutment that each of the ends of the first and second seal portions contact when the first seal portion is coupled to the second seal portion.
Flexible foodstuff container with closure
A sealable container comprising: a base having a geometric shape; sides extending from the base and defining a mouth opposite the base, wherein cross-sections of the sides parallel to the base have a geometric shape; and a seal of the mouth comprising: a first zipper member and a second zipper member, wherein when the seal is closed to seal the mouth the first and second zipper members engage each other to make the seal and when the seal is open the first and second zipper members disengage to break the seal, wherein the base, sides and seal comprise silicone, wherein the base and at least a portion of the sides adjacent the base are of sufficient thickness and rigidity for the container to freely stand vertically on its base with the mouth at the top, and wherein the seal and at least a portion of the sides defining the mouth are sufficiently flexible to allow the seal and side portion to be deformed between open and closed mouth configurations.
Zipper tape and zipper tape-equipped container
A zipper tape having an elongated shape includes, in a cross-sectional shape thereof: a pair of base strips; and engagement portions projecting from respective opposing surfaces of the pair of base strips and being engageable with each other, in which at least the engagement portions each are formed with a resin composition including polypropylene, the resin composition having fusion enthalpy ΔH.sub.120 in a temperature range of higher than or equal to 120 degrees C. measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of less than 30 J/g, and has tensile modulus of elasticity of less than or equal to 600 MPa.
Package having a child-restrictive opening feature
A package is provided to make it more resistant to access by individuals, such as small children, while remaining simple enough for an adult to open. A feature, such as a top gusset or a breachable flange or flap, can be provided to promote the child resistance attributes of the package.
Bag container with sealing mechanism
The invention provides a bag container with a sealing mechanism including first and second container housings to define an open top. The sealing mechanism includes female and male engagement members respectively positioned on the two container housings. The male engagement member includes a body portion and at least a pair of protrusions extending from opposite sides of the body portion and facing away from each other, the protrusions each having opposite first and second side surfaces, and the second side surface extending at an acute angle relative to an orthogonal direction of the longitudinal axis of the male engagement member. The female and male engagement members are sized and shaped for mating engagement to hermetically seal the open top. The invention also provides a sealing mechanism comprising female and male engagement members having mating wavy cross-sectional profiles in a plane parallel to the respective container housings.
CHILD-RESISTANT SEALING POUCH
A child-resistant sealing pouch is provided. The sealing pouch includes a pouch body and a seal bar provided at a top of the pouch body, where two ends of the seal bar are fixed on two sides of the pouch body; the seal bar includes a first closing piece and a second closing piece; the first closing piece and the second closing piece are respectively provided with a first locking piece and a second locking piece which are buckled for sealing; an upper side of the first closing piece is provided with a first upper extension piece; the first upper extension piece is thermally connected to one inner side of the pouch body; an upper side of the second closing piece is provided with a second upper extension piece, and a lower side of the second closing piece is provided with a second lower extension piece.
