The cap comprising a lateral wall (3) extending around an axis (Z) and a transversal wall (4) positioned at one end of the lateral wall (3), a separating line (5) being provided on the lateral wall (3) to define a retaining ring (301), which extends as far as a free edge (304) and is configured to internally engage with a locking ring (206) of a neck (201) of the container (2), and a closing element (302) removably engageable with the neck, so as to open or close the container. The cap comprises an inner thread structure, positioned on the inside of the lateral wall (3) of the closing element (302) to engage with an outer thread structure of the neck (201) and to removably couple the closing element (302) to the neck (201) of the container (2). The inner thread structure (305) extends in a spiral around the axis (Z) and comprises at least two vent grooves (306) which extend axially and interrupt the inner thread structure (305) thereby defining first segments (307), near the transversal wall (4) and second segments (308), over which the first segments (307) are axially superposed; wherein each of the first segments (307) extends angularly in a continuous way and at least one segment of the second segments (308) is interrupted by a vent passage (309), to facilitate the discharge of the pressure.
CONTAINER SYSTEM INCLUDING LID WITH IMPROVED NECK INSULATION
The invention provides a container system comprising a lid and a container. The container includes a neck, and the lid includes a neck-surrounding space defined by two walls of the lid. At least the neck-surrounding space is vacuum insulated, or it is filled with foam, air, or any combination thereof. The lid exhibits numerous technical merits such as improved neck insulation, better efficiency in overall heat insulation, simplicity in usage, and easy manufacturability, among others.
HINGED CLOSURE
Closure (1), for sealing of a neck finish (2) of a liquid container, comprising a top deck (3) and an outer skirt (4) extending from the top deck (3) in an axial direction (z) away from the top deck (3). The outer skirt (4) comprises a top section (5) arranged adjacent to the top deck (2) and a bottom section (6) separated from the top section (5) by a gap (7). The top section (5) and the bottom section (6) are interconnected to each other by a hinge (8). The outer skirt (4) comprises an inwardly protruding locking bead (9) extending along an inner surface (10) of the outer skirt (4), wherein the locking bead (9) at at least one location continues across the gap (7).
SCREW CAP, TOOL AND METHOD FOR SCREWING A CAP ONTO A CONTAINER
Screw cap (200), loading piston (300), method for aligning the screw cap (200) and the loading piston (300) in relation to each other and a method for screwing a screw cap (200) onto a threaded neck portion of a packaging container. The screw cap (200) comprises a base portion (210) comprising a top (212) and a bottom surface (214); an annular portion (220) raised from the base portion (210), the annular portion having an inner (222) and an outer surface (224); at least one first threaded portion (252) arranged on the inner surface (222) of the annular portion, wherein
the base portion (210) comprises engagement means (240), such that the screw cap (200) is configured to engage a tool (300) with at least one complementary engagement means in a process of screwing the cap onto the container with the complementary threaded neck portion.
CAPSULE AND PLUG FOR A CONCENTRATED REFILL CAPSULE
A plug for use in a cap assembly of a refill capsule is disclosed. The plug (300) generally comprises a hollow tubular body (302) with an open proximal end that is surrounded by a first rim (304) that provides a proximal abutment surface for bearing against a frangible sealing component of a cap assembly. A tubular skirt wall (306) is arranged coaxially with respect to the tubular body, and extends around the skirt wall (306) to form a plug recess (308) between the skirt wall (306) and the tubular body (302). The skirt wall (306) extends from a skirt distal end at which the skirt wall (306) is connected to the tubular body (302), to a free proximal end. The free proximal end of the skirt comprises an outwardly extending flange (310) comprising a distal facing abutment surface (312) for abutting a rim (406) of a refillable vessel (400).
STOPPER FOR A CONTAINER
A stopper for a container with a lid with a peripheral wall engaging around the neck of the container and with an olive seal provided with an outer, peripheral annular bead for jamming engagement in the container opening includes an inner surface of the olive seal having a ribbed wall surface, which is defined by a plurality of grooves and webs extending in the longitudinal direction on the wall of the olive seal.
CLOSURES AND VESSELS WITH CLOSURES
A closure can close an outlet of a vessel. The vessel outlet can comprise a tubular cavity with an interior surface. The closure can comprise a male portion comprising a distal undersized portion, a proximal oversized portion, and a taper between the undersized and oversized portion. The male portion can be inserted in the vessel outlet, undersized portion first. Interference between the inner diameter of the vessel outlet and the outer diameter of male portion can occur when the male portion is sufficiently inserted. The interference can cause the undersized portion to flare out and engage the interior surface of the tubular cavity, thereby providing a seal.
Cap for Container and Packaged Product Having the Same
A cap (100) for a container (120) is provided. The cap (100) may include a skirt (102) component and a seal component (104). The skirt (102) component is formed of a metal material and includes an annular outer sidewall (103) defining a skirt cavity (123) that extends along a skirt axis and has an open bottom end (107). The seal component (104) is formed of a plastic material and includes an annular seal sidewall (111) having a threaded inner surface (108) configured to mate with a threaded outer surface of a neck of a container body (120). The annular seal sidewall (111) may define a neck cavity (113) having a closed top end (104) and an open bottom end (115) for receiving the neck of the container (124). The seal component (104) may be mounted to the skirt (102) component and/or located within the skirt cavity (123) so that the annular outer sidewall (103) of the skirt component (102) circumscribes the annular seal (111) sidewall of the seal component (104).
CONTAINER SEAL OVER-PRESSURE VENT MECHANISM
A container assembly includes a vessel and a lid removably coupled to the vessel. The lid includes a circumferential rim at an interface with the vessel, wherein the rim is separated from the vessel by a gap, wherein the gap is open to the atmosphere outside the container. The container includes a gasket disposed at a sealing position between the lid and the vessel to seal a reservoir of the vessel from the gap. The rim includes a recess extending circumferentially along a first portion of the rim. The recess forms a portion of the gap and defines a venting zone extending circumferentially along the first portion of the rim. In response to the internal reservoir of the vessel reaching a threshold pressure, a portion of the gasket moves from the sealing position through the gap such that fluid held in the reservoir is vented past the gasket through the venting zone to reduce the pressure of the reservoir.
