Automatable closure
A cap for a fluid container includes a main body, an actuator ring slidable along the main body and having an annular groove, and a plurality of latches having secure and release states and that may be placed in the release state by contact with the actuator ring. A closure system for a fluid container includes the cap, and a lip attached to a fluid container that is engaged by the latches of the cap. The lip may be integral with a fluid container or part of an adapter that is connected to the fluid container. A method of automated handling of a container includes engaging an annular groove of an actuator ring of a cap using a robotic arm, driving the actuator ring, and removing the cap from the container. The method may further include transporting the container via engagement of the robotic arm with the cap.
Flip-top closure
A flip-top closure includes first and second closure polymeric portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion, a skirt portion and a tamper-evident feature being detachably connected to the annular skirt. The second closure portion includes a top wall portion, a skirt portion with an internal thread formation and an upwardly-extending locking tab, and a tamper-evident band. The first and second closure portions are attached via a hinge. The closure moves to an open position, resulting in the tamper-evident feature being detached from the remainder of the first closure portion and remaining adjacent to the skirt portion of the second closure portion in which the upwardly-extending locking tab assists in preventing or inhibiting the tamper-evident feature from falling off of the closure after the closure has been opened.
Manufacturing method for metal cap
A metal cap in which a linear to be held to a cap body and separable from the cap body can be formed by a series of operations for forming the cap body and press molding the liner. The liner of the metal cap has a double-layer structure including a barrier layer on a top panel wall side and a sealing layer on the inner side of the cap body, and the barrier layer is temporarily bonded to the top panel wall with a weak adhesive at the time of molding the barrier layer and separated from the top panel wall by the natural cooling of the barrier layer after molding.
Closure and finish for small carbonated beverage packaging with enhanced shelf life properties
This disclosure provides new closure and finish structures suited for small and light-weight carbonated beverage packaging that provide surprisingly improved carbonation retention and greater shelf life, while still achieving light weight. This closure and finish presented herein are particularly suited to small PET containers for carbonated beverages, for example less than or about 400 mL and provide good carbonation retention and shelf life.
Synthetic resin cap for carbonated beverage-filled container, closure device, and beverage-containing closure device
A synthetic resin cap mounted on a lip section of a container filled with a carbonated beverage includes a top plate section and a cylindrical section extending downward from a circumferential edge of the top plate section. An annular inner seal projection fitted into the lip section and an outer seal projection abutting an outer surface of the lip section are formed at an inner surface of the top plate section. An annular abutting convex section abutting the inner surface of the lip section is formed at an outer surface of the inner seal projection. The outer seal projection has an inner surface having an inner diameter reduced toward a distal end, and a minimum inner diameter section, which is a lower end of the inner surface, abuts the outer surface of the lip section at a position spaced apart from an opening end section toward a container main body.
Dispenser cap arrangement
Dispenser cap arrangements for enclosing a portion of a dispenser of a medicament are described herein.
Cap assembly for multi size bottle necks
A cap assembly for use with multiple bottles having different size necks is provided. The assembly includes a base, at least one adapter and a lid. The base includes a compartment for storing the adapter and an opening having at least two internally threaded sections of different size and a port. The adapter includes an internally threaded opening having at least two sections of different size and an externally threaded surface having at least two sections of different size. The lid is mounted on the base for movement between a position wherein the base opening port is closed and a position wherein the base opening port is open. Additional adapters may be included. The additional adapters are configured to accept bottle necks of different sizes than the base opening and first adapter such that at least six bottles with different size necks can be used with the assembly.
SPOUT ASSEMBLY AND PACKAGING CONTAINER HAVING THE SPOUT ASSEMBLY
A spout assembly includes a spout and a cap. The cap includes an inner ring having an outer peripheral surface provided with a first region with a first outer diameter and a second region with a second outer diameter. The spout includes a side wall having an inner peripheral surface provided with a first region having a first inner diameter and a second region having a second inner diameter. When the cap is threadably engaged with the spout, the first region of the inner ring is in close contact with the first region of the side wall of the spout throughout the circumference, and the second region of the inner ring is in close contact with the second region of the side wall of the spout throughout the circumference.
Travel tube
A reusable travel tube that has a flexible tube portion, a collar and a cap that can be threaded onto the cap. The collar is fitted over a neck of the tube portion and forms a gasket-like seal between the neck of the tube portion and the collar. The cap has a rotatable locking bail that can prevent a flip-top cap from accidentally being opened. When the locking bail is not positioned to prevent the cap from being accidentally opened, it can be retracted into a nested position such that the handle of the bail is substantially flush with the outer side surface of the collar.
