IMPROVED CONTAINERS HAVING TAMPER EVIDENT FEATURES AND METHODS RELATED THERETO
A container (10) having tamper evident features comprising: a bottle (12) having a neck (34) with an opening (14) at a distal end (16) and a base (20) at a proximal end (18) thereof; a cap (22) received on the neck (34) and movably retained on the bottle (12) wherein the cap (22) includes a first tamper evident feature (24) to provide an indication of tampering to an end user, the cap (22) further includes a second tamper evident feature (32) which becomes visible only when the first tamper evident feature (24) removed partially or completely from the bottle (12).
Releasable container cap
A container has an improved releasable cap, the container including a neck having external threads. The cap includes: a circular top piece for sealing the container; two sidewall sections connected to the top piece each having an internal threaded portion for engaging the neck of the container. Each sidewall section has two circumferential ends each spaced from an adjacent circumferential end of the other sidewall section such that two diametrically opposed expandable gaps are defined between the spaced circumferential ends. Two tabs each span a respective one of the two gaps, the tabs bulging outward from the sidewall section. The tabs are configured to be pressed inward thereby causing the sidewall sections to flex outward to disengage the internal threaded portions thereof from the external threads of the neck of the container permitting the cap to be removed therefrom.
A METAL SCREW CAP FOR BEVERAGE BOTTLE
A metal screw cap for a beverage bottle consisting of a dome and a cylinder having internal thread adapted to co-operate with a threaded neck of the bottle and a liner affixed to the inner surface of the screw cap, where the dome is concave and is connected with the cylinder through a top ring, where between the dome and the top ring there is a circumferential groove having the radius of the inner curvature.
Tethered plastic screw stopper
The present invention relates to tethered plastic stopper having a closure shell, a tamper band, and an annular ring. The annular ring is formed between a bottom weakness line separably linked through bottom bridges to the top edge of the tamper band and to the bottom edge of the annular ring and a top weakness line separably linked through top bridges to the top edge of the annular ring and to the bottom edge of the closure shell. At least one of the bottom bridges is configured to prevent disconnection of the annular ring from the tamper band and at least one of the top bridges is configured to prevent disconnection of the annular ring from the closure shell. The remaining bottom bridge and the remaining top bridge having a section exceeding at least 30% relative to the section of the bottom bridges and top bridges, respectively.
Choke-resistant closure
A closure includes: a cap member for engaging a fitment; a handling member wall encircling the cap member; and septa connecting the cap and handling members and providing an interior space between them. The handling member can include an upper rim smaller than its lower rim, and multiple openings, providing structures for allowing air flow into or out of the interior space. The openings and rims are aligned to provide multiple ventilation passageways traveling in: straight, vertical directions; straight, horizontal directions; indirect horizontal directions; or indirect transverse pathways that include vertical and horizontal orientations. The closure can include a tamper-evident band for indicating the closure has disengaged from the fitment. The band can comprise indentations defining segments that the tamper-evident band can separate into when the closure disengages, and connecting elements that keep the intact tamper-evident band, and its separated segments, connected to the closure.
Container
A container of a plastic material has a container body (1) for receiving a fluid and a neck part (7) adjoining the container body (1). The neck part (7) has at its free end a discharge opening for the fluid closed by a head part (11) and covered by a cap (19). The cap (19) interacts with individual blocking elements via a retaining ring (21), starting from an attachment position of the cap (19). Rotary motions in both directions of rotation are permitted along a predetermined path of travel. During a further screw-on motion beyond the predetermined path of travel, a part of second blocking elements completely passes over assigned first blocking elements, and in so doing the head part (11) is penetrated by the opening part of the cap (19). During a subsequent unscrewing motion of the cap (19) for the purpose of releasing the discharge opening, the retaining ring (21) is disengaged from the cap (19) and, in the process, is secured on the neck part (7) at least temporarily against rotation in the unscrewing direction by at least one blocking element.
Hinged Closure
Hinged closures for containers are provided. The hinged closures allow for a closure that can be held in the open position with a large opening angle. The hinged closures include a lid portion and a tamper evident band interconnected by a hinge portion. The hinge portion can be formed from two connecting bands and a central flexible band, or a continuous band having variable thickness and a central thinner flexible area.
SINGLE ANCHOR CLOSURE
An apparatus and methods are provided for a container closure for sealing contents within an interior of a container. The container closure comprises a closure portion that is coupled to a tamper evidence band by a single anchor. The anchor is configured to keep the closure portion coupled with the tamper evidence band. The closure portion threadably engages with a finish portion of the container and seals contents in the interior of the container. The tamper evidence band remains engaged with the finish portion when the closure portion is removed from the finish portion. A multiplicity of thin connections between the tamper evidence band and the closure portion break apart when the closure portion is untightened from the finish portion. The anchor remains unbroken and allows the closure portion to be tilted away from the finish portion.
CLOSURE
A package includes a container and a closure cap for mounting on the container. The closure cap is coupled to a neck of the container to block selectively removal of product stored within the container at the selection of a user.
Child-resistant topical drug applicator and methods of use
Described herein is a child-resistant topical drug applicator and methods of applying a topical pharmaceutical composition to a surface. In one aspect, the child-resistant topical drug applicator comprises a container comprising a connector and a tube configured to contain a topical pharmaceutical composition, a sponge applicator fluidly coupled to the connector, and a child-resistant cap that reversibly couples to the connector and encloses the sponge applicator, the cap having a locked position and an unlocked position. Also described herein are methods of opening and using the child-resistant topical drug applicator.
