A spouted pouch has a spout (10) having an exterior surface provided with a first screw thread (21). The spout body is provided with a rotation preventing boss (25, 26). A closure device (40) secured on the neck and comprises: a socket (50; 150) configured to the screwed onto the neck (12) of the spout (10), a user openable or user removable cap (70; 170) supported on the socket in a manner so as to be openable or removable relative to the socket (50; 150). The socket has a bore (52) with a second screw thread (56) that cooperates with the first screw thread upon screwing the socket onto the neck. An upper section of the exterior surface of the socket body defines a discharge portion (53). At a lower end the socket body is provided with a permanent snap lock anti-back off structure (60) comprising a portion (61, 63; 161, 162) that is configured to flex over the rotation preventing boss (25, 26) upon screwing of the socket onto the neck and then snap behind said boss. This structure is configured to remain intact upon a user opening or removing the cap for the first time. The cap (70; 170), in a closed position thereof, covers the discharge portion (53) and in an opened or removed position clears the discharge portion (53).
TAMPER-PROOF SCREW CAP
A screw closure of plastic comprising a head plate (2) and a cylindrical cap skirt (3) which extends downwardly from the head plate and has a female thread (4), and a tamper-evident band (5) connected to the lower edge of the cap skirt (3) and provided with radially inwardly projecting retaining elements (6) which define a smallest inside diameter of the tamper-evident band (5) in such a way that they can engage behind a retaining ring (25) of larger diameter on a container neck (20) in order to remain on the container neck (20) after separation from the cap skirt (2), characterised in that extending between the lower edge of the cap skirt (2) and the tamper-evident band (5) is a peripherally extending tear-off band (7) which is connected by way of a respective tear line (8, 8) on the one hand to the cap skirt (2) and on the other hand to the tamper-evident band (5).
Tamper evident closure for container
A container that is formed using a blow molding method. The container includes a neck wall and tamper bead extending from the neck wall. The tamper bead engages a tamper band when a lid comprising the tamper band is mounted to the container. A ratio of a height of the tamper bead to a ratio of the width that the tamper bead extends from the neck wall is in the range of 1.3 to 3.0.
CONTAINER
A container, consisting of a plastic material, having a container body (1) for receiving a fluid and having a neck part (7) adjoining the container body (1), wherein said neck part (7) having at its free end a discharge opening for the fluid, which is closed by a head part (11) and covered by a cap (19), is characterized in that the cap (19) interacts with individual blocking elements via a retaining ring (21) in such a way that, starting from an attachment position of the cap (19), rotary motions in both directions of rotation are permitted along a predetermined path of travel, in that, during a further screw-on motion beyond the predetermined path of travel, a part of second blocking elements completely passes over assigned first blocking elements and in so doing the head part (11) is penetrated by means of the respective opening part of the cap (19), and in that, during a subsequent unscrewing motion of the cap (19) for the purpose of releasing the discharge opening, the retaining ring (21) is disengaged from the cap (19) and, in the process, is secured on the neck part (7) at least temporarily against rotation in the unscrewing direction by means of at least one blocking element.
CHOKE-RESISTANT CLOSURE
A closure includes: a cap member for engaging a fitment; a handling member wall encircling the cap member; and septa connecting the cap and handling members and providing an interior space between them. The handling member can include an upper rim smaller than its lower rim, and multiple openings, providing structures for allowing air flow into or out of the interior space. The openings and rims are aligned to provide multiple ventilation passageways traveling in: straight, vertical directions; straight, horizontal directions; indirect horizontal directions; or indirect transverse pathways that include vertical and horizontal orientations.
The closure can include a tamper-evident band for indicating the closure has disengaged from the fitment. The band can comprise indentations defining segments that the tamper-evident band can separate into when the closure disengages, and connecting elements that keep the intact tamper-evident band, and its separated segments, connected to the closure.
Spouted pouch adapted to be filled with a flowable product and method of production thereof
In combination a spouted pouch (1) to be filled with a flowable product by a filling machine, a plug (50), and a cap (70). The interference fit plug is releasably mounted over the top end of the neck of the spout body and hermetically seals the product passage of the spout body. The plug is adapted to be removed by the filling machine and to be replaced by pressing the plug onto the neck after filling of the pouch. The plug removal, filling, and replacing of the plug are preferably performed in an aseptic environment. The cap is after the filling of the pouch and the replacing of the plug onto the neck. The capping is preferably performed by a capping machine in a non-aseptic environment.
Hinged closure
Hinged closures for containers are provided. The hinged closures allow for a closure that can be held in the open position with a large opening angle. The hinged closures include a lid portion and a tamper evident band interconnected by a hinge portion. The hinge portion can be formed from two connecting bands and a central flexible band, or a continuous band having variable thickness and a central thinner flexible area.
TAMPER EVIDENT SCREW CLOSURES
A screw closure for a container includes a tamper indicating ring, a frangible link connecting the ring to the remainder of the screw closure, and a flexible anti-backoff pawl having a root end attached to the tamper-indicating ring. A distal end of the pawl co-operates with a rack tooth formed on the container so as to allow relative rotation between the ring and container in the closure screwing-on direction and so as to resist relative rotation between the ring and container in the closure unscrewing direction. The distal end of the pawl is connected to the ring by a flexible link. Alternatively the pawl is supported in the unscrewing direction by a guard stop or the distal end has an enlarged cross-section whereby it is stiffened to resist bending, and/or the ring is protected by radially projecting covers.
