The band includes retaining cams protruding from its inner surface. Each cam has a lead-in ramp for engaging, in use, the flange of a container neck as the neck is introduced into the open end of the body and a stop for engaging the flange to separate the band from the body when the closure is subsequently removed from the neck. Each lead-in ramp has a central recess therein.

Beverage cap

A closure for a container includes a cap connected to a retaining ring. The cap includes a cover and a skirt. A plurality of concentric threads are disposed on an inside surface of the skirt. The plurality of threads includes at least a first thread at a first level and a second thread at a second level. The first thread is comprised of at least a first thread segment separated from a second thread segment by a first space. The second thread is comprised of at least a third thread segment separated from a fourth thread segment by a second space. A plurality of latch segments includes a first latch segment separated from a second latch segment by a third space. The first space, the second space, and the third space at least partially overlap in along a radial direction of the cap to provide a flex point.

There are disclosed a measuring apparatus and method for measuring the pull-off force of a frangible arrangement connecting a capsule with a tamper evident band of closed annular shape, with an annular ridge that axially retains the tamper evident band, a pusher device that pushes the capsule so as to cause the breakage of the frangible arrangement, a sensor arrangement to detect the tensile force applied by the pusher device, and a lifting and abutting device arranged for supply the capsule to the annular ridge.

There are further disclosed a band disengagement arrangement for disengaging the tamper evident band from the annular ridge after the breakage of the frangible arrangement, yet maintaining intact the closed annular shape of the tamper evident band.

Cap for a drink bottle or similar recipient

Cap for drink bottle or similar recipient that comprises a base element comprising a drinking nozzle and a substantially tubular portion adapted to be secured to a neck of the bottle or recipient, a covering element comprising a flip top adapted to hermetically seal the drinking nozzle of the base element, and anti-tamper means of the top adapted to provide a visual indication of whether the top has already been removed for a first time from the drinking nozzle; the covering element comprises a tubular portion adapted to be secured to the outside of the substantially tubular portion of the base element, and the anti-tamper means of the top comprise an interlocking element extended from a lower edge of the top; wherein, the interlocking element is adapted to latch through the inside a front window of the tubular portion.

Closure with spout and means for introducing an additive into a beverage container

A closure device for use with a beverage container comprises a spout cap member having a top wall with a spout aperture covered by a spout cover, a side wall for securing to a neck of the container, and a plug support structure. A fluid chamber containing an additive liquid and a pressurised propellant is movably held within the spout cap member. A plug member is fixed to the plug support structure and sealingly engages a bottom aperture of the fluid chamber. The spout cover includes a strut extending through the spout aperture to an abutment surface on the fluid chamber.

Tamper evidence container closure

A container closure and methods are disclosed for providing visible evidence of removal of the closure from a container after installation by a manufacturer. The closure includes tamper evidence bridges comprising small tabs of material that extend from a bottom-most edge of the closure to a tamper evidence ledge of the container. The bridges break when the closure is rotated relative to the tamper evidence ledge, thereby providing readily visible evidence that the closure has been removed after installation by the manufacturer. In some embodiments, a tamper evidence closure engages with threads of a finish of the container. Cam locks around the perimeter of the tamper evidence closure are permanently flared by cams on the finish during loosening of the closure. Outward flaring of the cam locks provides a visual indication that the tamper evidence closure has been loosened after installation by a manufacturer.

A closure for a container includes a top panel, a skirt depending from the top panel and extending circumferentially about a central axis, a tamper-evident band attached to the skirt, and at least one thread extending from an interior surface of the skirt. The skirt extends from a first end attached to the top panel to a second end opposite the first end. The skirt is tapered radially outward from the first end to the second end such that a diameter of the skirt at the second end is greater than the diameter of the skirt at the first end.

Closure for a container and components for a closure

A closing element (28) for restricting communication of a substance through an access passage (34) of a body (24) includes a first portion (68) for being removably affixed to the body (24), the first portion (68) having an inner wall (80), an outer wall (96) surrounding the inner wall (80), and at least one bridge (100) connecting the outer wall (96) with the inner wall (80). The closing element (28) has a second portion (72) for being non-removably affixed to the body (24) and a movable connecting element (76) extending between the first portion (68) and the second portion (72). The closing element (28) has an unactuated configuration wherein a major portion (78) of the length of the connecting element (76) is located laterally between the inner wall (80) and the outer wall (96) to shield the major portion (78) of the length of the connecting element (76).
