A container employs an access tool in child-resistant packaging. The container includes a seamless container body having a sidewall and a base formed of a single piece of metal. The container body is drawn to shape from the single piece of sheet metal via deep drawing. The container includes a lid that covers an aperture at an upper end of the container body when the container is closed, and a lever ring attached to the container body adjacent to an upper edge of the sidewall. The lever ring receives and grips a plug portion of the lid to cover the aperture. When not in use, the access tool is magnetically attached to the base, hidden from view. The access tool is a lever configured pry the lid away from the lever ring. The container may include a removably coupled secondary cover to cover the lever ring and lid.

The present embodiments describe an insulated drinking vessel with a multifunction lid. In an embodiment, the drinking vessel can be configured to receive a multifunction lid. The multifunction lid may, in one embodiment, include an opening for receiving a drinking straw. In an embodiment, the multifunction lid may additionally include an opening for drinking or sipping directly through the lid. In an embodiment, the lid may include an operable cover for covering at least one of the openings in a first position and for allowing access to the fluid through the opening in a second position. In a further embodiment, the lid may include a plurality of operable covers. A first operable cover may be configured for covering the drinking straw opening in a first position and allowing insertion of a straw in a second position. The lid may also include an operable cover for covering the sipping spout in a first position and allowing drinking directly through the spout in a second position.

The body portion has a first end portion for mounting on the container and an opposite second end portion. The outer periphery is bent toward the first end portion, and has a bent portion bonded to the body portion. A part other than the outer periphery is between the engaging portion and the second end portion. An inner diameter of a tip of the tapered portion is smaller than an outer diameter of the container curl portion. Where the lid closes the container opening, the container curl portion contacts an inner part of the tapered portion.

A cooler has a body and a lid that co-operate. The lid is movable between closed and open positions. The lid is a freezable reservoir. A filler port is located inside the lid. The entrance of the filler port into the lid is located at a height part way between the inside and outside walls of the lid. The lid has a downwardly extending hollow peripheral formation. The filler port is spanwise inset from the peripheral formation. The lid has spanwise extending internal formations that stiffen the lid and divide the internal chamber into sub-volumes connected by necks through which liquid can flow. The inside and outside walls of the lid may be connected. The lid is provided with a “fill to” line visible from the filling port to discourage over-filling. The lid may have an insulated cap, and the cooler may have an insulated jacket.

The lid has a body with a top that extends away from the container when the lid covers the opening of the container, and a bottom which is opposite the top. The body has an arm with an actuator portion and an extension. The actuator portion is configured to move the arm between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the body. When the arm is in the retracted position relative to the body, the extension is at first distance from the top of the body. When the arm is in the extended position relative to the body, the extension is at a second distance from the top of the body which is greater than the first distance.

Capped barrel system and methods

A capped barrel system for aging liquids includes a barrel and a barrel cap removably coupled to the barrel. The barrel includes: a plurality of wooden staves suitable for aging liquids, hoops for holding the staves together, a head coupled to the staves, and a bunghole formed in the head. The barrel cap includes: a lid including a top portion and a rim extending downwardly from the top portion. The rim includes an inner surface and a seal that defines at least a portion of the inner surface. The barrel cap further includes an opening formed in the top portion of the lid that is generally aligned with the bunghole and a closure removably positioned in the opening. When the closure is positioned in the opening, a gas tight coupling between the closure and the lid and a gas tight fit between the seal and the barrel form a gas tight environment between the barrel and the barrel cap.
