Container, closure, and methods for manufacture
In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods provided herein are useful for dispensing a fluid, such as a thixotropic fluid. In some embodiments, a bottle having a closure cap includes a flip top, a base, and a disk, where the base and disk define a mixing chamber configured to facilitate mixing of any serum or liquid separated from the fluid back therein. In some configurations, the base has a central opening through which the fluid exits and an internal shaft with a non-planar end surface opposite the central opening. In some configurations, the non-planar end surface and the disk define channels between the mixing chamber and the internal shaft. In some embodiments, the disk includes a central opening, a plurality of partial annular openings through a planar surface of the disk, and projections extending into the mixing chamber.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COLLECTION OF FLUID SAMPLES
The present invention relates in general to the improved containment of biological fluids. In particular, a method and apparatus for collection and preservation of fluid samples in accordance with the present invention results in collection of semen having improved viability both at the time of collection and after storage. The disclosed methods and apparatuses methods support a wide variety of applications for containment of biological fluids related to human and veterinary medicine including, but not limited to, human reproductive medicine and animal husbandry.
CLOSURE DEVICE FOR A CONTAINER
A closure device for a container with a container opening has a lid element for closing the container opening, a chamber assigned to the lid element and an inner housing. The chamber and the inner housing have closing and opening elements that correspond to one another. The chamber locks with the inner housing, the lock with the inner housing being offset radially inwards in respect of a vertical of the closure device over a greatest width of the chamber in the offset direction. In order to specify a closure device which allows emptying of the chamber as the lid element is removed in an easy-to-handle fashion, with further preferred favorable manufacturability of the closure device, the lock in the vertical direction is designed separately from a shoulder section of the inner housing formed on the base side under the lock.
Container for Storing Personal Care Item
A container for storing and carrying at least one personal care item includes a base plate and well. The base plate defines an aperture and has top and bottom surfaces. The well passes through the aperture and has: an open top portion and a closed bottom portion collectively defining a chamber accessible through the top portion, a seat abutting the bottom surface, and a flange overlying a portion of the base plate. A cap is removably secured atop the chamber and abuts the flange such that the flange seals between the cap and the base plate when the cap is secured atop the chamber. The well has an uppermost point and a lowermost point and a height defined therebetween, and the lowermost point is collapsible toward the uppermost point to a maximum distance of at least forty percent of the height and no more than sixty percent of the height.
OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION CONTAINER
A self-standing packaging container capable of achieving both strength and disposability even if the container has a wide mouth is provided. A container according to the present invention includes: a container body that has an opening part at an upper end of a tubular member; an annular member that is bonded to the upper end of the tubular member; and a lid member that seals the opening part to be openable and closable. The container body has a bottom surface member that is bonded to the tubular member at a bottom surface part of the tubular member. The tubular member is constituted by a flexible laminated body of three or more layers including a barrier layer and a resin layer. The lid member is coupled to the annular member by any of a hinge, fitting, and a screw to be openable and closable.
Fluid release mechanism for a chemically-inflatable bag
An apparatus for providing a nonlabor-intensive process for sealing an opening formed in the ground with a chemically-inflatable bag is provided. The chemically-inflatable bag contains two or more chemical reactants, one of which is a liquid reactant that is initially stored in a liquid-containing device. The liquid-containing device has a removable cap, which upon removal or breakage of the cap permits the liquid reacting agent to contact and react with another reacting agent. The chemical reaction produces carbon dioxide, which expands the chemically-inflatable bag from a collapsed condition to an inflated condition. In the inflated condition, the chemically-inflatable bag fills and protects the integrity of the formed cavity.
Adjustable cap for a container
The invention provides a cap for a container. The cap comprises a cover member having an outlet and at least one first opening; a base member engageable with the container and having an inlet; an adjusting member co-axially connected with and rotatably movable relative to the cover member and the base member; the adjusting member having at least one second opening adapted to cooperate with the at least one first opening to define a fluid flow passageway connecting the inlet of the base member with the outlet of the cover member; wherein the adjusting member is actuatable at an exterior of the cap, such that actuation of the adjusting member causes the at least one second opening to rotate relative to the at least one first opening thereby varying a size of the fluid flow passageway connecting the inlet of the base member with the outlet of the cover member.
PORTABLE TUMBLER
A portable tumbler comprises: a lower cup portion having an open top surface and an accommodation space formed therein; a lower connection portion coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the lower cup portion; an upper cup portion having open top and bottom surfaces and a prescribed height; an upper connection portion coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the upper cup portion and detachably coupled to the lower connection portion; and a cap coupled to the upper cup portion so as to cover the open top surface of the upper cup portion, wherein the lower connection portion and the upper connection portion may be coupled to each other so that the upper end of the lower cup portion and the lower end of the upper cup portion are in contact with each other. The portability of the portable tumbler when a user is carrying the portable tumbler can be improved by reducing the volume of the portable tumbler by pushing the stretchable lower and upper cup portions into the lower and upper connection portions, respectively.

Fusible cap assembly
A cap assembly for a container and a method of assembly. The cap assembly includes a housing couplable to a container opening, the housing defining a housing opening communicating with the container opening; a cover operable to close the housing opening; and a retainer mechanism operable to releasably connect the cover to the housing, the retainer mechanism including a non-fusible member selectively contacting the cover and the housing, and a fusible member operable to hold the non-fusible member in contact with the cover and the housing in a retaining condition, the fusible member deforming at or above a threshold of the condition to allow the non-fusible member to move out of contact with one of the cover and the housing, in a release condition, to open the container opening to atmosphere.
