Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.

A method for forming a container having an injection-molded feature. The method includes obtaining a blank, forming the blank into a three-dimensional article having at least one sidewall, and forming the injection-molded feature extending around the perimeter of the article. The injection-molded feature comprises an anchor portion and a flange portion. The anchor portion is in contact with an interior surface of the at least one sidewall and the flange portion extends from the anchor portion outwardly from the at least one sidewall.

A closure having a frame, a lid and a first closing means as well as at least one second closing means, apart from the first closing means. The closing means each have a lid portion and a frame portion, the first closing means can be opened by the frame portion being manipulated and the second closing means can be opened by the lid portion being manipulated. The lid portion of the second closing means has a pressure-exerting surface and a counter-pressure surface, the lid portion can be fixed by the retaining forces such that a pivoting force acting transversely to the retaining forces can be introduced into the lid portion, via the pressure-exerting surface and counter-pressure surface, in order for the lid to be pivoted out of the closed position.

A container has a container base, a container lid and a closure. The container base includes a back member and a base sidewall extending upwardly therefrom. The container lid is hingedly-connected to the base and movable relative thereto between closed and open positions, the container lid including a front member and a lid sidewall extending downwardly therefrom. A container for loosely stored products including

a) a container body containing a peripheral body wall having an inner peripheral body groove;
b) a cover containing a cover skirt having an outwardly facing sealing portion with an apex that seals against the inner peripheral body groove when the cover is in a closed condition thereby forming a seal of a sealing line type; and
c) a hinge connecting the container body and the cover. The apex of the cover skirt and the inner peripheral body groove provide the only seal between the cover and the container body and preferably the only locking element that holds the cover in the closed condition on the container body.
