The housing may have an interior surface and an exterior surface. The housing may have one or more first top slots and one or more first bottom slots at a first end. The housing may also have one or more second top slots and one or more second bottom slots at a second end. The slots may receive divider plates that, once inserted, create compartments. End caps may be placed at the first end and the second end to seal the housing and protect the components of the weight distribution hitch.
