ENHANCED AEROBIC FERMENTATION METHODS FOR PRODUCING EDIBLE FUNGAL MYCELIUM BLENDED MEATS AND MEAT ANALOGUE COMPOSITIONS
Provided herein are shelf-stable protein food ingredients, food products comprising the shelf-stable protein food ingredients, methods of their production, and methods of their use. The shelf-stable protein food ingredients comprise cultured fungal biomass and a limited amount of water. Advantageously, the shelf-stable protein food ingredients can be stored, transported, and delivered within the food supply.
COMPOSITION AGAINST RESISTANT ORGANISMS (MRSA)
A composition comprises: (i) at least one fermented seaweed material; (ii) at least one fermented plant material: or (iii) a combination of at least one fermented seaweed material and at least one fermented plant material; and at least one lactic acid bacterial strain, for treating, alleviating, suppressing and/or preventing growth of a resistant organism.
SYSTEM FOR AND METHOD OF MAKING FOUR TYPES OF ANIMAL FEEDS FROM GRAINS THAT ARE USED IN THE ALCOHOL PRODUCTION PLANT
A method of and system for making at least four types of animal feed products for various types of animals to maximize and use all of the components found in the whole stillage in an alcohol producing plant. The method includes liquefying, fermenting, distilling, performing a selective particle size separating into three streams, wherein the three streams contain a first stream of a large particle stream that is used to form a first animal feed suitable for ruminant animals, a second stream of a coarse protein stream that is used to form a second animal feed suitable for chicken and pigs, and a third stream of a fine particle stream that is used to form a third animal feed suitable for fish and pet. The third stream is further concentrated and enriched to have a syrup with 35%-80% of dry solid.

Vertical plug-flow process for simultaneous production of ethanol and a fermented, solid transformation product of the substrate
The invention relates to a method for the simultaneous production of a solid transformation product of the substrate and crude ethanol comprising the following steps: •preparing a substrate from milled or flaked biomass comprising proteinaceous matter which originates from soya bean, rape seed, or mixtures thereof, optionally in further mixture with proteinaceous matter originating from fava beans, peas, sunflower seeds, lupine, cereals, and/or grasses, •mixing said substrate with live yeast in a dry matter ratio of from 1:1 to 10,000:1 and adding water in an amount which provides a ratio of wet bulk density to dry bulk density from 0.60 to 1.45 in the resulting mixture; •incubating said mixture for 1-48 hours at a temperature of about 20-60° C.; and •separating crude ethanol and wet solid transformation product from said mixture; further comprising that the incubation is performed as a continuous plug-flow process in a vertical, non-agitated, closed incubation tank with inlet means for said mixture and additives and outlet means for the solid transformation product and crude ethanol. The invention further relates to the products of this method as well as uses thereof.

FEED SUPPLEMENT AND EXTRACT
A method of making a product from grass that includes carrying out steps A to D in order, where: Step A is cutting the grass to a length of between 35 mm to 150 mm resulting in cut grass with at least 90% leaf and little to no dead plant material; Step B is drying of the cut grass to produce dry grass; Step C is collecting and transferring the dry grass to at least one first container, removing excess air and then sealing the at least one first container; and Step D is aging the dry grass in the at least one first containers in a cool dark place for a primary period of time to produce a dry product.
Sequestration of macronutrients from anaerobic wastewater treatment with iron- and steel-making slags
Residuals, such as slag particles, from iron- and/or steel-making, and/or water-leached eluates thereof, are added directly to a conventional or multi-staged anaerobic digester or other sewage sludge or biosolid handling process. The slag particles or other residuals sorb, sequester, immobilize, or otherwise promote the removal of phosphorus and/or sulfur from wastewater, sludge, or biosolids being treated, such that the associated aqueous phase concentrations of phosphorus and sulfur are significantly reduced.
PROCESS FOR MODULATING THE NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF WHOLE STILLAGE AND DISTILLERS PRODUCTS ASSOCIATED THERETO
Fermentation by-products can be used in feed to provide nutrients to animals. The present disclosure concerns a process for modulating the nutritional content in a whole stillage. The process includes fermenting a biomass in the presence of a recombinant lactic acid bacteria (LAB) cell and a yeast with a biomass and recuperating the whole stillage once the fermentation has been completed. The recombinant LAB is capable of expressing one or more first heterologous enzyme for converting the biomass into the fermentation product.
