Plant phenols extraction and activation thereof, to use as feed additive in animal husbandry particularly ruminants to help reducing CO2 from environment
Feed additive including sodium carbonate feed additive polyphenol particles can be fed to animals to reduce methane or carbon dioxide emission. The feed additive polyphenol particles can be prepared by reacting phenols with sodium percarbonate (2Na.sub.2CO.sub.3.3H.sub.2O.sub.2) in a solution of water, a peroxidase and a dispersing agent. The sodium percarbonate can be dissolved in the water solution to generate sodium and carbonate ions, which can be incorporated to the polyphenol particles for assisting the animals in digesting the feed additive. The dispersing agent can be used to limit the sizes of the particles to facilitate the consumption of the feed additive by the animals.

POLYPEPTIDE FOR HYDROLYTIC CLEAVAGE OF ZEARALENONE AND/OR ZEARALENONE DERIVATIVES, ISOLATED POLYNUCLEOTIDE THEREOF AS WELL AS A POLYPEPTIDE CONTAINING AN ADDITIVE, USE OF SAME AS WELL AS A PROCESS
The invention relates to a polypeptide for the hydrolytic cleavage of zearalenone and/or at least one zearalenone derivative, said polypeptide being a hydrolase having an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1-15 or a functional variant thereof, wherein the sequence of the functional variant is at least 40% identical to at least one of the amino acid sequences. The invention also relates to: an additive containing the polypeptide; an isolated polynucleotide that encodes the polypeptide; and a method for the hydrolytic cleavage of zearalenone and/or of at least one zearalenone derivative using the polypeptide.

METHOD FOR BIOTRANSFORMATION OF TRICHOTHECENES
The present invention relates to a novel method for detoxification of trichothecene contaminated material. More specifically the present invention pertains to a method for biotransformation of a trichothecene by contacting material contaminated with trichothecenes with an exogenous non-animal glutathione-S-transferase (GST) having substrate specificity for the epoxide ring of the trichothecene. The invention further relates to recombinant GSTs and transgenic plants and animals expressing said GSTs.

ENZYME BLENDS AND PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING A HIGH PROTEIN FEED INGREDIENT FROM A WHOLE STILLAGE BYPRODUCT
The present invention relates to a process for producing a high protein feed ingredient from a whole stillage byproduct produced in a starch-containing grain dry milling process for producing a fermentation product, as well as enzyme blends used in the processes for partitioning a greater amount of protein from the whole stillage byproduct into the high protein fraction, rather than being retained in the wet cake, to produce a high protein feed ingredient.
