A CAP FOR A FOOD PACKAGE

Disclosed herein is a cap configured to interact with a neck. In some embodiments, the cap comprises an inner wall portion and at least one cutting element projecting radially inwards from the inner wall portion. In some embodiments, the cutting element has a hinge portion connected to the inner wall portion, and a cutting portion extending radially inwards from the hinge portion, wherein a first axial thickness of the hinge portion is between 35 and 80% of a second axial thickness of the cutting portion. Also disclosed herein is an assembly comprising the cap and a spout having a membrane closing a tubular member of the spout.

A CAP AND NECK ASSEMBLY FOR A FOOD PACKAGE

A cap and neck assembly for closing an upper end of a package (10) is provided. The neck (20) is formed by a tubular member (110) being provided with external threads (22), and an upper tubular portion (120) extending from the tubular member (110) and being releasably attached to a membrane (150) closing an upper end of said upper portion (120). The cap has a lower portion the threads (22) of the neck (20), and an upper portion (33) being provided with at least one cutting element (50) configured to separate the membrane (150) from the neck (20). When the cap (30) is threaded onto the neck (20) to its axial end position for the first time prior to separating the membrane (150) from the neck (20), the axial distance between a cutting edge (54) of the cutting element (50) and the membrane flange (170) is less than 1 mm.

This present invention discloses an identification tag for containers for informing a user as to what type of hazardous material is stored in a fuel container. The identification tag for container is a shaped disc inside a tag cover and attached to the container. The identification tag for the containers features a rotating or changeable disc with different labels or regions for the hazardous materials. The device also allows users to set the disc at a specific label and then attach the tag to the container via the clip, and ensures the proper hazardous material type is identified within the container.

Biodegradable bottle cap using pestalotiopsis microsporia to biodegrade waste plastic bottle

Millions of plastic water bottles going to waste and harming the environment. Recycling is an option, but hardly becoming a practice. Biodegradable bottle cap consisting of the plastic-eating fungus pestalotiopsis microsporia, will consumes the plastic bottle and the cap so no trace is left behind. The cap is made of plastic and the fungus is contained in an aluminium casing.

A volume-reducing overlapping-scale container system and method for reducing empty air space within the container as the contents are removed, providing a spiral-grooved overlapping-scale container body with a continuous downward spiraling groove along a cylindrical side surface having overlapping scales that provide added structure to the container while allowing easy cutting from an acute angle, and providing a cutting cap to seal the container body, and having mounted inside a reducing cutter to follow and cut through the continuous downward spiraling groove when the cutting cap is turned in a nominally clockwise direction, yielding a smaller container and a tail of removed material, a tail channel within the cutting cap to allow passage of the tail of removed material out of the cutting cap, and a tail-trimming cutter that moves away from the tail of removed material during clockwise rotation of the cutting cap, and moves into and cuts the tail of removed material when the cutting cap is rotated counterclockwise.

Plastic container with integrated spout for directional pour

Plastic container comprises a main body portion defining an interior space; and a finish portion defining a mouth in fluid communication with the interior space, the finish portion having an upper portion including a circumferential wall surrounding the mouth, the circumferential wall having a lower end and an upper edge defining a height of the circumferential wall, the circumferential wall comprising a first indent and a second indent each extending inwardly into the mouth to form a spout portion disposed between the first indent and the second indent, the upper portion further comprising at least one thread disposed on the height of the circumferential wall.

An assembly for dispensing a substance into a receptacle, the assembly comprising: a) a first portion connected to an opening of the receptacle; b) a chamber for containing the substance, the chamber being at least partly located within the first portion; c) a seal located below the chamber, the seal retaining the substance in the chamber; d) a removable stop member; and wherein removal of the stop member enables the chamber to be moved downwardly to cause the seal to open and release the substance into the receptacle.

Closure for a package

A closure comprises a polymeric top wall portion, a polymeric annular skirt portion, a polymeric liner and a polymeric disc. The polymeric annular skirt portion depends from the polymeric top wall portion. The annular skirt portion includes an internal thread formation for mating engagement with an external thread formation of a container. The polymeric disc has an exterior surface. The polymeric disc is located between the polymeric top wall portion and the polymeric liner. The polymeric disc includes a plurality of channels formed therein. The plurality of channels assists in allowing liquid to travel on the exterior surface of the polymeric disc and between the polymeric annular skirt portion and an external finish of a container.
