Packages having separable sealing features and methods of manufacturing
A package includes a first pouch and either a second pouch or a cover, where the pouches are configured to contain a product, such as a food product, and attached relative to each other about a hinge. The package includes at least one closure flap. The first and second pouches or first pouch and cover are movable about the hinge from a closed position where access is at least partially blocked by the closure flap toward an open position where the closure flap is separated to allow greater access. Methods of manufacturing such packages are also provided.
Bend-open package and method for manufacturing bend-open package
A bend-open package includes a sealant without unsealing an opening until the package is bent to a predetermined bend angle or less to prevent leakage of the content in a package body. A method for manufacturing the bend-open package includes preparing a sheet member for a bend-open package, including in sequence, (a) forming cuts in the surface of a sheet base, and (b) press-bonding sealants press-cut from a sealant base to the surface of the sheet base to cover the cuts. The steps include embedding a periphery of the sealant in the surface of the sheet member by a predetermined depth, and forming a protrusion having a height smaller than a thickness of the sealant protruding outwardly from the surface of the sheet member along the entire periphery of the sealant.
PACKAGES CONTAINING A FOOD PRODUCT AND METHODS OF OPENING
A package containing a food product is provided where the package is configured to facilitate opening by using the food product to initiate opening of the packages. The package includes an outer wrapper with a line of weakness that is generally aligned with or above an upper profile of the food product such that when the wrapper is pulled against the food product one or more stress concentrations is created along the line of weakness due to the profile of the food product, whether in direct or near direct contact with the line of weakness of by the food product spacing front and rear walls of the wrapper apart during opening. The stress concentrations facilitate initiation of tearing or rupturing along the line of weakness such that a portion of the package can be completely or at least partially removed to expose at least a portion of the food product.
A POUCH FOR DISPENSING A SUBSTANCE AND A METHOD OF USING SAID POUCH
A pouch for dispensing a substance and a method of using the pouch is disclosed. The pouch is formed from first and second walls of flexible material having mating peripheral edges which form an enclosure. The pouch has a width, a first end which is initially open, a second end, and first and second side seals which extend from the first end to the second end. A frangible seal is spaced apart from the second end. The frangible seal extends across a major portion of the width. The pouch also has a gusset formed between the second end and the frangible seal. The gusset bas a discharge opening formed therein through which a substance, which is retained in the enclosure after the first end is sealed, can be discharged.
A CONTAINER
A container that contains more than one product where each product is held separately out of contact from the other until mixing is required whereupon mixing can occur in the container prior to dispensing. The disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such a container.
A CONTAINER
A container having a body having a first end and a second end that can be folded together about a fold axis, the body having a base wall connected to an upper wall by a side wall, the base wall, upper wall and side wall defining a cavity for storing a product, is formed therebetween, the body having a fracturable portion that is adapted to fracture, when the first and second ends are folded together about the fold axis, to produce an opening having a size that is smaller than a narrowest dimension of the product, the body being deformable to increase the size of the opening to enable the product to be dispensed from the container, wherein the container provides restricted access to the product until the body has been folded and deformed.
Break-Open Single-Dose Sealed Package with A Double Compartment and Method for the Production Thereof
A break-open single-dose sealed package and method for the production thereof; the sealed package has: a first sheet of semi-rigid plastic material; a second sheet of flexible plastic material set on top of and welded to the first sheet along an annular weld, so as to define a sealed pocket containing a dose of a product; and a pre-weakened area that develops transversely and is obtained in a central area of the first sheet; the pocket is divided into two distinct and separated chambers which are insulated from one another and each contain a corresponding component of the product; and the pocket is divided into the two chambers due to a central weld connecting the second sheet to the first sheet and is weak, so as to be broken by exerting pressure on at least one of the two chambers.
Fracturable container
A container includes a body having a cavity for containing contents. The container includes a flange arranged about a perimeter of the body a cover is affixed to the flange for enclosing the contents within the cavity, and a fracturable portion including a bend extending across the body bisecting the body into a first and second body portions. The fracturable portion defines a break path along which the body is adapted to fracture when a user applies a force exceeding a predetermined level. The break path has an initiating fracture point and a pair of termini, at each of the flange portions, to fracture from the fracture point in opposing directions along the break path towards each terminus. The fracturable portion has a plurality of fracture conductors spaced apart along the break path defining a localized change in rigidity of the fracturable portion to guide propagation of the fracture.
Packages containing a food product and methods of opening
A package (10) containing a food product (12) is provided where the package is configured to facilitate opening by using the food product to initiate opening of the package. The package includes an outer wrapper (14) with a line of weakness (34) that is generally aligned with or above an upper profile of the food product such that when the wrapper is pulled against the food product one or more stress concentrations is created along the line of weakness. The stress concentrations facilitate initiation of tearing or rupturing along the line of weakness (34) such that a portion of the package can be completely or at least partially removed to expose at least a portion of the food product (12).
APPARATUS, ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SKIN CARE INGREDIENTS
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a cosmetic arrangement can be provided, which can include a first structure that can enclose a cosmetic active ingredient(s), a second structure that can enclose a solvent solution, a third structure(s) that can separate the solvent solution from the cosmetic active ingredient(s), a medium that can be configured to absorb a mixture of the cosmetic active ingredient(s) and solvent solution, and an indicator structure that can be configured to indicate whether the cosmetic active ingredient(s) and the solvent solution have come in contact with one another. Upon an application of a particular amount of pressure on a portion(s) of the arrangement, the cosmetic active ingredient(s) and the solvent solution can be caused to come into direct contact with one another.
