METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PACKAGED PORTION OF A FOOD PRODUCT AND PORTION PRODUCED BY SAID METHOD
This method for producing a packaged food product portion includes the following steps: providing a cup defining an inner area for receiving the food product; cold pouring, at a temperature below 50 C., the food product into the receiving area of the cup; covering the food product using a thermally insulating lid arranged such that thermally conducting flaps of the cup extend toward the outside of the lid after the covering step; folding the flaps on an outer face of the lid opposite the receiving area; and heat-sealing the flaps on the outer face.

RESEAL LABEL FOR BOX IN A BOX RE-SEALABLE PACK
A container of consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box wherein a pull tab is configured to reseal a pre-cut opening in the inner box. The pull tab includes a cover layer larger than the pre-cut opening. The cover layer can be a piece of bundle wrap with a paper layer of the bundle wrap contacting the consumer goods inside the box. The outer box has a hinged lid permanently attached to a connecting tab of the pull tab whereby opening the hinged lid simultaneously opens the pre-cut opening in the inner box by lifting the pull tab. The connecting tab includes adhesive which is partially deadened to decrease adhesion of the connecting tab to the inner box. The pull tab can also include one or more machine readable markings to enhance automated application of the pull tab to an inner box blank during manufacturing of the container.

WRAPPING TEARING DEVICE
A device for easily unwrapping a package forming a personalized pattern in the paper is provided. The device includes a first adhesive elongated strip layer, comprising: a first and second horizontal elongated edges having first and second ends; and first and second vertical side edges extending between the first and second horizontal elongated edges. Further included is a second adhesive elongated strip layer separated from the first adhesive layer by a gap, the second adhesive layer elongated strip, comprising first and second horizontal elongated edges each having first and second ends and first and second vertical side edges extending between the horizontal elongated edges. A first non-adhesive strip layer placed over the gap, a tearing thread located on the first non-adhesive strip layer; and a second non-adhesive strip layer located on top of the tearing thread and the first non-adhesive strip layer.
AUTO OPENING CIGARETTE PACK OUTSERT
An outsert for affixing to a product package includes a base layer, a top layer, and a printed document. The base layer includes a perforated region arranged to be aligned with a tear tape on an outer wrapping of the package. The top layer is arranged on the base layer and has one or more edge regions adhered to the base layer. The printed document is enclosed in an inner volume established between the base layer and top layer. A laminate layer can be disposed in the inner volume between the top layer and the printed document to increase the rigidity of the outsert.

Plastic bags
A plastic bag is provided. The plastic bag includes a first wall made of a first material with a first thickness dimension and a second wall made of the first material with a second thickness dimension, wherein an opening is formed on a first side of the first wall and the second wall and a second side of the first wall and the second wall is sealed together. The plastic bag also includes a first strip made of a second material with a third thickness dimension disposed on the first wall. The plastic bag further includes a first section on the first wall having a fourth thickness dimension. The fourth thickness dimension is smaller than the first thickness dimension. The first strip and the first section align to form a first weakened zone.

Easy opening packaging article made from heat-shrinkable film exhibiting directional tear
A packaging article has tear initiators for initiating a manual tear that can be propagated to open a package and allow a product to be readily removed therefrom, without the use of a knife or scissors or any other implement. The packaging article is made from a heat-shrinkable multilayer film having at least one layer containing an incompatible polymer blend, and/or a layer containing an inorganic filler, and/or a layer having a high Young's modulus. The film also has a Peak Load Impact Strength of at least 50 Newtons per mil, The tear initiators can be used to generate a manual machine direction tears to open the package, with the manual machine direction tear being capable of propagating in the machine direction to the opposite edge of the packaging article. A process for making a package and manually opening the package is also disclosed.
