Provided are a functional film capable of efficiently adsorbing and decomposing ethylene, a functional container, and a method for retaining freshness of a plant or a food.
The functional film of the present invention is obtained in the following manner: a substance having a catalytic capability of decomposing ethylene is added in a plastic film material having an ethylene adsorption effect, or applied to or deposited on a surface of the plastic film material. The functional container of the present invention is obtained in the following manner: a substance having a catalytic capability of decomposing ethylene is added in a plastic material having an ethylene adsorption effect, or applied to or deposited on a surface of the plastic material. Alternatively, the functional container of the present invention is obtained in the following manner: a substance having a catalytic capability of decomposing ethylene is added in a plastic material having an ethylene adsorption effect, and the mixture is molded into a predetermined shape, or the plastic material is molded into a predetermined shape, and the substance is then applied to or deposited on a surface of the plastic material. The method for retaining freshness according to the present invention includes the step of adsorbing and decomposing or/and discharging ethylene generated from a plant or the like using the functional film or the functional container.
Method for producing blister packs for medicinal products and blister pack
The method for producing blister packs for medicinal products comprises the steps of forming blister pockets in a bottom film, wherein each blister pocket has an at least two-level shape with a first recess and a second, lower recess, filling the second recesses of the blister pockets with the medicinal products, placing a strip of active material in the first recess of each blister pocket above the medicinal product, wherein the strip of active material rests on at least one support surface of the first recess next to the second recess, sealing a lidding film to webs of the bottom film arranged around the blister pockets and simultaneously to the strips of active material, thus forming a sealed blister web, and stamping out individual blister packs from the blister web.
AMBIENT HUMIDITY CONTROL ARTICLE
An ambient humidity control article for controlling the ambient humidity within 65%-75%. The article includes a substrate which has a predetermined water absorbability, and a humidity control layer coated on the substrate. The humidity control layer is made up of a humidity control composition. The amount of the composition coated on per cubic centimeter of the substrate is 0.54-0.74 grams. The composition includes at least one chloride salt and water. The chloride salt includes at least one of NaCl, NH.sub.4Cl, KCl and MgCl.sub.2. The weight percentage of the chloride salt is 18%-44.6%. The water absorption amount of the substrate is not less than 0.5 grams per cubic centimeter. The article can control the ambient humidity without the need to pre-adjust the objective space. The article has a large capacity of moisture absorption and desorption and can quickly achieve the desired humidity in the objective environment.
BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME AND USES THEREOF
Disclosed is a biodegradable packaging including: a biodegradable substrate including a bottom from the edge of which a wall rises so as to define an inner face capable of containing an item, such as a food item or a plant; a biodegradable film. The biodegradable substrate includes one or more openings arranged on the bottom and/or the wall, the biodegradable film being positioned on the inner face of the biodegradable medium so as to seal at least the openings. The biodegradable film is positioned on the biodegradable substrate by the in-mould labelling technique.
POUCH WITH OXYGEN SCAVENGER AND METHOD OF FORMING POUCH WITH OXYGEN SCAVENGER
An example embodiment includes a pouch. The pouch includes pouch material that defines an inner cavity. The pouch further includes a consumable item in the inner cavity. The pouch further includes an oxygen scavenger, at least one first portion of the oxygen scavenger being in the inner cavity. These and other pouch embodiments are disclosed, as well as methods of forming pouches.
FOOD CONTAINER FOR PRESERVING FRESHNESS OF FOOD ITEMS
The invention discloses a food container for preserving freshness of food, comprising a container body having a cavity adapted for containing food items; a lid detachably secured on the container body to close the cavity of the container; and one or more food preserving elements capable of absorbing food spoiling gas to preserve freshness of the food items. The one or more food preserving elements are disposed inside the cavity and/or into a material of the food container to preserve the food items for an extended period of time and remove odors.
A GAS-PERMEABLE ELEMENT AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
This disclosure includes a gas-permeable element formed or at least partially placed in a packaging or medical device containing sensitive or odorous products for regulating an atmosphere in the packaging or medical device. The gas-permeable element includes an active structure formed from a mixture including particles of an active material, and a fibrillated polymer as a binder. The fibrillated polymer is a polymer to which shear has been applied which holds the active material by entanglement. The gas-permeable element includes a molded thermoplastic gas-permeable envelope surrounding the active structure in fluid communication with the atmosphere of the packaging or medical device in which the gas-permeable element is placed. Also disclosed is a method of manufacture of the gas-permeable element.
PACKAGING FILMS
A packaging film is described comprising at least one polymer film layer in which particles of a small-pore or a medium-pore palladium-doped zeolite are dispersed. Such films are of particular utility for the adsorption of volatile organic compounds, such as those originating from organic matter.
Film deterioration preventing material and acid gas removing agent
The present invention provides a film deterioration preventing material for using together with a record storage film having a triacetyl cellulose film as the base film thereof, wherein the material includes an alkali metal carbonate or an alkali metal hydrogen carbonate as an acetic acid gas removing agent to remove the acetic acid gas in an atmosphere.
