USE OF USNIC ACID, A SALT OF USNIC ACID, OR A FORMULATION THEREOF IN THE PREPARATION OF ANTI-AVIAN COCCIDIOSIS DRUGS OR FEED ADDITIVES
20230226012 · 2023-07-20 ·

Provided is a use of usnic acid or a salt of usnic acid or a formulation thereof in the preparation of anti-avian coccidiosis drugs or feed additives. Also provided are anti-avian coccidiosis drugs and feed additives comprising usnic acid or a salt of usnic acid or a formulation thereof. Both the use of usnic acid or a salt of usnic acid or a formulation thereof in the preparation of anti-avian coccidiosis drugs or feed additives and anti-avian coccidiosis drugs and feed additives comprising usnic acid or a salt of usnic acid or a formulation thereof provide a new way for treating and preventing avian coccidiosis. The addition of Usnea or usnic acid or a salt of usnic acid or a formulation thereof to feedstuff may realize effective anti-avian coccidiosis.

Method for preparation of attapulgite-based pH-responsive antibacterial material

Disclosed is a method for preparing an attapulgite-based pH-responsive antibacterial material, including: directly spraying a natural aldehyde-based antibacterial agent onto an attapulgite powder under stirring, and constantly stirring the attapulgite powder for 20-30 min; grinding the attapulgite powder in a ball mill for 30-60 min to obtain a ground attapulgite powder; placing the ground attapulgite powder in a stirred tank, and spraying a chitosan-citric acid aqueous solution onto the ground attapulgite powder; after spraying, constantly stirring the ground attapulgite powder for 30-120 min; and finally drying the ground attapulgite powder to obtain a dried attapulgite powder, sieving the dried attapulgite powder to obtain a sieved attapulgite powder, and packaging the sieved attapulgite powder to obtain the antibacterial material.

Composition having improved flowabilty and methods for making and using the composition

Disclosed compositions comprise a therapeutic agent and a carrier selected, or processed to have, an acceptable composite flow index, a granular particle size of 18 mesh to 80 mesh, or both, such as processed granular wheat middlings. The composition may also comprise an oil and/or micro tracers. Suitable granular wheat middlings may have a size range of from 18 mesh to 80 mesh, such as 20 mesh to 80 mesh. The composition has improved flowability characteristics, compared to a composition where the carrier, such as processed wheat middlings, are powdered and/or flakey. Certain embodiments concern a composition comprising, consisting essentially of, or consisting of, nicarbazin, granular wheat middlings, soybean oil and micro tracers. The composition may be administered to an animal, for example, to treat or prevent coccidiosis. Also disclosed herein are methods for making and using the composition.

Complete animal food having cannabinoids in trace concentrations to avoid toxicity

A nutritionally complete animal food including, vitamins, and minerals to sustain the animal's health and wellness. The one or more ingredients containing cannabinoids added to the nutritionally complete animal food at the time of manufacturing. These cannabinoids are selected from the group consisting of Cannabichromenic acid (CBCA), Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), Cannabidivarinic acid (CBDVA), Cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), Cannabinolic acid (CBNA), Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCVA) and combinations thereof. The concentrations of each of the cannabinoids are each less than 100 parts per million (ppm) in the at least one ingredient.
