METERED VALVE FOR DISPENSING PRODUCT
The present device dispenses product from a pressurized container. The device has a metered valve that dispenses a predetermined fixed quantity of product upon actuation. The metered valve can be configured by the customer with a spacer to affect the amount of product continually metered.
Inhalers and Related Methods
A nasal inhaler for the inhalation of inhalable substances comprise: a canister having an interior reservoir containing pressurised inhalable substances including fluid; a metering valve including a metering chamber and a valve stem defining a communication path between the metering chamber and the interior reservoir, the communication path including an opening configured to permit flow between a transfer space inside the valve stem and the interior reservoir, the interior reservoir being arranged for orientation above the metering chamber whereby gas located within the metering chamber is replaced with liquid from the interior reservoir.
Valve for pressurized metered dose dispenser
A valve for an aerosol canister for containing medicaments is disclosed. The valve comprises a valve assembly, a ferrule for holding the valve assembly and a gasket for insertion into the ferrule. The ferrule has at least one ferrule interference surface and the gasket has at least one gasket interference surface, and the contact zone between the ferrule interference surface and the gasket interference surface comprises a plurality of relief portions. Preferably, the ferrule interference surface comprises a plurality of ferrule relief pockets and the gasket interference surface comprises a plurality of gasket relief pockets. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing a valve for an aerosol canister.
MEDICINAL INHALER REFILL ASSEMBLIES COMPRISING A LOCKOUT MECHANISM
A refill assembly (129) for use in a medicinal inhaler (100). The refill assembly includes a patient port (110), and an adapter (118) configured to cause a dose of medicament to be released. The adapter is movable between a first position in which a dose of medicament is not released and a second position in which a dose of medicament is released. The refill assembly further includes a lockout member (117) movable between (i) a first (locked) position in which the adapter is not movable from its first position to its second position, and (ii) a second (unlocked) position in which the adapter is movable from its first position to its second position.
RING FOR FLUID PRODUCT DISPENSING DEVICE
A ring for arranging around a valve body of a fluid dispenser valve mounted by a fastener capsule on a reservoir containing fluid to be dispensed. The ring includes a single piece including at least one inner portion that co-operates with the valve body, a radial flange that forms a neck gasket between the neck of the reservoir and the fastener capsule, and at least one axial recess that extends, at least in part, around the periphery of the ring, radially inwards from the radial flange, the single piece is made out of a first material that is substantially deformable; and at insert least one filler insert that fills the at least one axial recess at least in part, the at least one filler made out of a second material that is more rigid than the first material, the at least one filler insert being over-molded on the single piece.
