The present invention relates to the method for production of a composition comprising at least 15% nucleotides, preferably at least 18% nucleotides, more preferably at least 22% nucleotides and at least 40% amino acids and peptides, and to a composition comprising at least 15% nucleotides, preferably at least 18% nucleotides, more preferably at least 22% nucleotides and at least 40% amino acids and peptides obtainable according to the said method. The method of the present invention involves obtaining the biomass by cultivating at least one microorganism strain(s) characterized by a growth rate in the process of at least 0.85 h-1. The composition of the present invention is particularly useful in the production of animal feed, pet food, food products, fermentation medium or supplement, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, RNA or DNA, or flavour enhancers.

APTAMERS FOR MYCOTOXIN DETOXIFICATION
20180325936 · 2018-11-15 ·

Mycotoxin-deactivating aptamers, especially DNA aptamers, bind to mycotoxins in feed and feed ingredients resulting in the reduction or elimination of toxic and carcinogenic effects of mycotoxins. The invention also discloses a composition comprising a mycotoxin-deactivating aptamer, a binding agent, a biotransforming agent and an antioxidant for detoxifying mycotoxins in feeds. In addition, the invention teaches the methods of preparing said mycotoxin-deactivating aptamer-based composition and also the methods of using it as a feed additive. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of said mycotoxin-deactivator/s alone, or in a composition comprising said aptamers and other mycotoxin-detoxifying agents, in feeds and feed ingredients for detoxifying the major mycotoxins such as aflatoxins, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, fumonisins and ochratoxin A.

METHODS FOR MODULATING TASTE RECEPTORS

Amino acids present in domains of an umami taste receptor are described herein, wherein the amino acids interact with at least one nucleotide derivative and/or at least one transmembrane compound that potentiates, modulates, increases, and/or enhances the activity of the umami receptor. Such compounds can be used in flavor compositions to enhance the umami taste and/or palatability of food products.
