The invention relates to capsule for preparing a beverage comprisinga substantially rigid capsule body having a circumferential sidewall extending around an inner space of the capsule, said inner space being at least partially filled with a beverage ingredient suitable for preparing the beverage, a rigid base wall, integral with the capsule body, the base wall covering the inner space at a first end of the sidewall, a flange arranged circumferentially around an open side of the capsule at a second end of the sidewall of the base body opposite the base wall, a lid covering the inner space and the open side of the capsule at a second end of the sidewall opposite the base wall and tightly closing the capsule, the lid being removably attached to the flange for use of the capsule in a beverage preparation device, anda filter element positioned in the inner space of the capsule between the beverage ingredient and the lid; and a carrier disk provided in the inner space of the capsule. According to the invention the carrier disk is positioned in the inner space of the capsule between the lid and the filter, said carrier disk comprising multiple preformed outlet openings suitable for draining the prepared beverage from the inner space towards the outside of the capsule when the capsule is used in the beverage preparation device; and the carrier disk comprises between 50 and 150 outlet openings and the open surface ratio of the carrier disk is higher than 4%. The invention also relates to a system comprising said capsule and to the use of said capsule and system.

A single-serve capsule for preparing a beverage in a beverage apparatus. The capsule includes an inlet end, an outlet end arranged opposite to the inlet end, and a capsule base which closes the outlet end. The capsule base includes an outside area, an outside edge, weak points which open, break and/or tear as a result of a fluid pressure of hot water in the interior of the capsule, and arcuate thin spots arranged next to each of the weak points. The arcuate thin spots provide for a uniform guidance of a plastic melt, do not break or tear open under the fluid pressure of the hot water, and form ramp-like sloping surfaces to increase a surface of the accurate thin spots upon which the fluid pressure of the hot water acts.

The method includes feeding water into the receptacle, and driving the receptacle in centrifugal rotation to force water to flow through the substance in a centrifugal flow path to the outlet of the receptacle. The system includes equipment necessary to carry out the method. The receptacle is a sealed capsule which is opened for water to be introduced into the capsule, contains a predetermined dose of food substance and is discarded after use.

A lid assembly includes a lid body and a lid body insert. The lid body includes an insert-receiving depression and a channel-guiding protuberance. The channel-guiding protuberance is formed at an upper depression surface of the insert-receiving depression. The insert-receiving depression is outfitted with a primary liquid outlet for enabling liquid egression therethrough. The lid body insert is receivable in the insert-receiving depression and includes a protuberance-receiving channel and a secondary liquid outlet. The protuberance-receiving channel receives the channel-guiding protuberance when the lid body insert is received in the insert-receiving depression. The lid body insert is rotatable intermediate first and second closed lid positions. The secondary liquid outlet is positionable in superior adjacency to the primary liquid outlet when in an open lid position for enabling liquid egression via both the primary and secondary liquid outlets. Pad for use in a coffee machine for preparing at least one part of a single beverage serving which pad, for use in the coffee machine, is adapted to receive an aqueous fluid that is supplied under pressure so that the aqueous fluid is forced through the pad for obtaining the at least on part of the beverage serving that then exits the pad. The pad includes a covering defining an interior space that is filled with a beverage preparation product for preparing the beverage wherein the beverage preparation product includes a product soluble in an aqueous fluid. The covering comprises a flexible first sheet and a rigid shell, wherein the first sheet and the shell are connected to each other around their perimeter edges, and wherein the shell is equipped with at least one outlet opening. The pad is further equipped with a flexible second sheet that is positioned on a bottom of the shell, wherein the second sheet is located between the beverage preparation product and the shell and wherein the first sheet and the second sheet each form a filter that allows an aqueous fluid, including water, and the beverage to pass and that forms a barrier for the beverage preparation product. When in use an aqueous fluid under pressure is supplied to the first sheet of the pad the aqueous fluid flows through the first sheet to the beverage preparation product so that the beverage is formed. The beverage then flows through the second sheet and via the at least one outlet opening leaves the pad. The at least one outlet opening includes a flow restriction for reducing the volume of the beverage, when used in a coffee machine with a time controlled supply of aqueous fluid.

A beverage dispensing machine (2) has a housing that provides a receptacle for receiving an expandable cartridge (12) that is coupled into the machine so that it can receive a charge of water. A kneading system (40) is provided to act on the cartridge within the receptacle. The kneading system is activated after water has been allowed to enter the cartridge and mechanically acts on or from the exterior of the cartridge in order to compress and release regions of the cartridge in order to create vigorous agitation to move the contents of the cartridge around inside the main compartment and bring them into close contact with a charge of water from the supply. Such a machine allows a wide variety of beverages to be created conveniently on demand from freeze-dried ingredients that can be stored inside the cartridges with a long shelf life.

The present disclosure relates to the field of home appliances, and discloses a beverage capsule, a brewing device, and a beverage dispenser. The beverage capsule comprises an inner cup, an outer cup and a sealing film, and the top edge of the inner cup is provided with an inner cup outward flange, which fits with the top edge of the circumferential wall of the outer cup to form a ring surface seal, and has an outward extension part that extends to the outer side of the outer cup in the radial direction, and the sealing film seals the top opening of the inner cup. In such an arrangement, the beverage capsule can form a tear opening between the inner cup outward flange and the top edge of the circumferential wall of the outer cup by means of a film tearing mechanism acting in a tearing form.
