Composition and/or combination for aquaculture
Disclosed embodiments concern a composition and/or combination, and a method of administering the same as a feed, or to supplement the feed of, aquatic animals, particularly for aquaculture. Disclosed composition and/or combination embodiments may comprise glucan, silica, mineral clay, mannans, yucca, quillaja, a probiotic, and/or an adhesive agent. The adhesive agent may be selected particularly to facilitate administration to aquatic species. In certain embodiments the adhesive agent comprises an oil, such as soy oil, or a syrup, such as molasses, or combinations thereof. In some embodiments the composition and/or combination may further comprise polyphenol, an antimicrobial, and/or a vaccine. Also disclosed is a method for promoting growth and/or immune function in aquatic animals.
MILK REPLACERS THAT INCLUDE TEXTURED SOY PROTEIN AND METHODS OF FEEDING THE SAME
Milk replacers include milk and non-milk proteins, and at least a portion of the non-milk protein is provided by textured soy protein. The textured soy protein is ground and extruded such that it is substantially free of anti-nutritional factors that are detrimental to young animal health or development. The milk replacers with textured soy proteins are fed to young animals, who demonstrate equal or improved performance compared to young animals fed milk replacers with the same amount of total protein and same amount of soy protein, but the soy protein is from other than textured soy protein.
AQUATIC ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS FEED PRODUCT
Methods of preventing/treating ectoparasite infections in fish are disclosed. In an aspect, a method comprises mixing at least one of glucosamine containing product, a lactone containing product, a capsaicin or capsaicinoid containing product, an essential oil, or a combination thereof, with a fish feed ingredient, thus producing a fish food. The method comprises feeding the fish food to the fish such that the ectoparasite (such as sea lice) infection is treated, reduced and/or prevented in the fish. In an aspect, the method comprises mixing a botanical plant extract containing capsaicin, capsaicinoids, vanilloids, or lactone members of the germanocrolide, guianolide or phthalide lactone groups, chosen from at least one of the Apiaceae, Fabaceae, Solanaceae, Asteraceae, and Zingeberaceae family groups, with the fish food.

PROCESSES AND COMPOSITIONS FOR ENSILING HYDROPONICALLY GROWN CELLULOSIC MATERIALS
A system, method, and apparatus for ensiling hydroponically grown cellulosic material is disclosed. A grower system for growing plants and crops provides an aerobic environment by controlling a plurality of environmental factors that decrease environmental stresses surrounding the plants or crops. The decrease in environmental stresses increases hydrolytic enzyme activity and releases additional hydrolytic enzymes. The hydrolytic enzymes breakdown a plurality of complex storage molecules of the plant or crop into simple storage molecules. The breakdown of the plurality of complex storage molecules increases the nutrient availability and dry matter of the ensiled cellulosic material as well as the shelf life of the ensiled cellulosic material.
Oligosaccharide compositions for use as animal feed and methods of producing thereof
Described herein are methods of producing animal feed made up of oligosaccharide compositions, as well as methods of producing such oligosaccharide compositions and animal feed compositions, and methods of using such animal feed compositions to enhance animal growth.

PROBIOTIC EGG WASH
A probiotic egg wash for the exterior surface of the eggshell that is ingested by the developing embryo resulting in an established GI tract microbiome that promotes health and outcompetes potential pathogens such as Salmonella is provided herein. In the preferred embodiment, the probiotic wash is composed at least of L. casei, L. rhamnosus, L. planitarum, L. paracasei, and/or B. lactis at a concentration of between 10.sup.2 to 10.sup.9 CFU per egg.
Feedstuff of high abrasion resistance and good stability in water, containing PUFAs
According to the invention, it was found that, surprisingly, a feedstuff having a very high abrasion resistance and very high water stability can be obtained when a PUFA-containing biomass having a high sulphate content is used for producing the feedstuff.
