Tea Display and Storage Device
A Tea Display and Storage Device includes a front and back cover, a centralized spine with pages bound to it, a plurality of tea bag holders on each page to carry individual tea bags and a fastener to keep the Tea Display and Storage Device dosed when not in use. The covers and the tea bag holders contain an absorbent layer to keep the tea bags fresh. Each tea bag holder can either be open to allow easy removal of tea bags, or be dosed to seal the tea bag against the page. The seal on the tea holder can be a tongue and grove system, magnets or a type of adhesive strip. To aid in identification of the tea bag in each holder, the teabag holder can be dear or if the holder is opaque, a name tag can be attached to the holder.
Method for manufacturing biodegradable pillow tea bags containing whole leaf tea
A biodegradable whole leaf pillow tea bag is provided, along with a system and method for manufacturing biodegradable whole leaf pillow tea bags. The method for manufacturing the whole leaf pillow tea bags includes the steps of providing a biodegradable infusion substrate having two opposing edge; creating a sleeve from the biodegradable infusion substrate by infusing the two opposing edges of the substrate together and closing the sleeve at its bottom; placing whole leaf tea in the bottom of the sleeve; vertically feeding the sleeve containing the whole leaf tea into a heat sealing machine that will, at predetermined intervals create heat seals across the sleeve to create pillow bags; cutting the pillow bags from one another across the heat seal. In one example, the biodegradable infusion substrate may contain hemp and/or the whole leaf tea may be infused with CBD oil or other supplements. The same method of manufacturing may be used to create a biodegradable pillow bag containing coffee.
OVER-WRAPPING ENVELOPE FOR FILTER BAGS AND METHOD OF FORMING A PACKAGE WITH OVER-WRAPPING ENVELOPE
An over-wrapping envelope containing a filter bag for an infusion product, includes a sheet of over-wrapping paper folded in a U shape along a transversal axis around the filter bag to have two parts of over-wrapping material superposed on said filter bag, the sheet having two parallel longitudinal flaps, a bottom flap at the folding and a top flap parallel to the bottom flap, parallel first and second closing tracks formed by grooves along lateral edges of the longitudinal flaps of the folded sheet and where the first and second tracks are obtained by mechanical deformation of the two superposed parts of the sheet (2) at the respective longitudinal flaps; and a third closing track formed by grooves along the transversal top flap obtained by mechanical deformation of the two superposed parts of the sheet at the transversal top flap.
COFFEE BEVERAGE AND METHODS
A single-serve coffee package has an outer envelope having one folded edge and three heat-sealed edges, comprising 95% by weight materials that are compostable and demonstrate bio-degradability, a filter bag fully within the outer envelope, having one folded edge and sealed edges, forming a closed envelope having opposite sides, each side comprising one layer of filter material, fully compostable and biodegradable, the filter material exhibiting a plurality of openings through the material, enabling water to pass through, the openings having no dimension exceeding a minimum dimension, a volume of grains of ground coffee within the filter bag, dimensions of the grains precluding coffee grains passing through the openings through the filter material, and an atmosphere of gas within the outer envelope, enveloping the filter bag and the coffee grains, the gas inert relative to materials exposed within the outer envelope.
HOT BEVERAGE BREWING AID
A beverage brewing device facilitates preparation of homemade tea, coffee, and other brewed or steeped beverages by separating the brewing medium from a hot, brewed beverage prior to consumption. Brewed or steeped beverages typically involve running or immersing a brewing medium with hot water to allow a transfer of oils, flavorings and pigments to the water. The brewing medium is encapsulated in a flexible, permeable steeping pouch containing a brewing substance such as tea leaves to allow the hot water to flow through and transfer the oils and flavorings that define the brewed beverage. The steeping pouch is withdrawn via a tether, and compressed between opposed, insulated panels to squeeze any remaining water into the beverage receptacle. Once substantially all water is extracted, the steeping pouch between the opposed, insulated panels allows discarding of the used steeping pouch without dripping or burning fingers from residual heat.
