ANIMAL FEED SUPPLEMENT AND METHOD
A premix is disclosed. The premix includes a nitrate compound and salts thereof in the amount of greater than about 50% by weight of the premix. The premix also includes vitamins and trace minerals. The premix is formulated for use in at least one of a gestation or lactation phase of an animal and in an amount of less than about five percent by weight (5.0 wt %) inclusion per metric ton of the premix. A supplement for an animal feed for feeding during at least one of an animal's gestation phase and/or lactation phase is also disclosed. A method for feeding an animal is also disclosed.

A method of improving microbiome within an animal can comprise administering to the animal a composition comprising a probiotic and psyllium, wherein the probiotic comprises at least one of any suitable strain or subspecies of Enterococcus. A method for forming this pet food containing naturally occurring copper includes: providing a formula selected from the group consisting of chicken meal, corn gluten, duck, rabbit, venison, fish, peas, potato, barley, rice, corn, and any combinations thereof; and adding one or more ingredients having a naturally occurring copper source to provide a naturally occurring copper concentration in the pet food composition from about 7.3 ppm to about 25.0 ppm, adjusted for a dry matter basis.

Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a dried product for providing a supplement to a horse. The dried product may include a mixture of a horse supplement, beet pulp, water, horse feed, a safflower oil/vitamin E oil mixture, ground alfalfa, white flour, sea salt, fenugreek, ascorbic acid, and fruit pectin or apple pectin, wherein the product is in the form of a compressed product, such as a compressed round disk. For example, in an embodiment, the compressed round disk may have a diameter of about 2.5 inches and a thickness of about 1 inch.
