The inventors disclose and teach herein a device that quickly and reliably attaches rigging to a fishing line, especially trolling lines. The device includes a spring-loaded clip with means for attaching additional accessories to the clip, such as weights. Accordingly, in the context of trolling, a trolling depth can be set and readjusted rapidly simply by clipping different weights onto the line. Moreover, the clip includes a side-opening for receiving a fishing line in compression between a spring-loaded plunger and anvil. The line is further secured by an embossed retainer blocking the line from slipping out from between the plunger and anvil.

An arm spike is connected to the weight adjustment arm and is used to secure the weight adjustment arm to the bait fish by piercing the mouth of the bait fish.

A bait rigging system is used to mount a bait fish onto a fishing line. The system includes a tubular body and a line-securing clamp. The tubular body can be inserted into the mouth of a bait fish in order to guide the fishing line through the bait fish. The line-securing clamp is mounted into the tubular body and is used to lock the tubular body onto the fishing line. The system also includes a weight adjustment arm and a weight. The weight is connected to the weight adjustment arm and causes the bait fish sink. The weight adjustment arm is connected to the tubular body and may be rotated to compensate for different sized bait fish. An arm spike is connected to the weight adjustment arm and is used to secure the weight adjustment arm to the bait fish by piercing the mouth of the bait fish.

A multifunctional tool for use by anglers is provided. The tool can include a pair of arms positioned in an overlapping fashion and connected together at one end by a coupling pin in order to form a hinged connection allowing the opposing free ends to open and close. The tool can include a cutting blade at the free end to allow users to cut a fishing line by pressing the anus together. The tool can also include a pin pocket with a pin extending therethrough to allow users to clear the eye of a fishing hook. The tool can also include a pair of crimping pockets to allow users to crimp a lead shot onto a fishing line by pressing the tool arms together. The tool can also include a guide channel to allow users to easily thread a fishing line through the eye of a hook.
