A pelleting system and method for pelletizing a cellulosic fiber into feed pellets. The pelleting system includes a mixer adapted to combine a shredded cellulosic fiber with at least one additive and a preservative to form a mixture; a pellet feeder for injecting said mixture into a conditioning chamber, the conditioning chamber adapted to apply steam to the mixture to add moisture and heat to said mixture for softening the mixture to facilitate pelletizing; and a pellet mill adapted to compress the mixture to form feed pellets. The final product may be a feed pellet having a compression ratio between about 7 L/D and about 16 L/D and containing between about 9 wt. % moisture and about 12 wt. % moisture.

Domestic animal water and feed modifying compositions

The present invention provides domestic animal water modifying compositions, domestic animal water modifying compositions with copper, domestic animal water modifying compositions with silver and domestic animal feed modifying compositions. Such compositions are provided to domestic animals to provide, for example, improved weight gain, decreased mortality, improved feed conversion rations, improved overall health and reductions in grow-out periods for domestic animals to which such compositions are administered.

AQUEOUS COMPOSITION FOR LIVESTOCK ANIMALS

Aqueous compositions and methods using the compositions for preventing or minimizing live body weight loss in livestock animals subjected to a prolonged period of feed deprivation, e.g., such as during the period before slaughter or during a period surrounding transportation from one location to another location (e.g., before, during and/or after), and/or for minimizing carcass weight loss or carcass yield loss, and/or meat quality deterioration and/or for preventing or minimizing deterioration of the well-being or health of livestock animals subjected to a prolonged period of feed deprivation, e.g., such as during the period before slaughter or during a period surrounding transportation from one location to another location (e.g., before, during and/or after).

A PETFOOD COMPOSITION AND PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF

The present invention relates to a process for making a pet food composition comprising a red seaweed as a natural gelling agent with enhanced palatability. The compositions of the invention can be devoid of commonly used, chemically treated gelling agents such as carrageenan, alginate, agar, gellan gum.

Animal nutrition compositions and related methods

Animal nutrition compositions include a carrier and a fermentation product applied to the carrier. Liquid fermentation products are fluidly applied to dry carriers, such as phyllosilicates or other earthen components, while mixing and applying air flow, under appropriate temperature and pH conditions, to bind the fermentation product to the carrier and dry the reaction product to appropriate moisture content. Fermentation products are also mixed with liquid carriers, such as water. Fermentation products include components of a microbial fermentation culture, such as liquid medium, microbial cellular components, and fermentation metabolites produced by microorganisms. Some compositions include a pH buffering agent and/or additional components to further enhance beneficial effects of the composition, such as improved weight gain and feed conversion, reduced gut lesions, harmful gut bacteria count, and decreased mortality. Compositions can be mixed with animal feeds or otherwise administered. Compositions can inhibit fungal growth on animal feeds.
