To manufacture a metal can having a tear-open lid and having a storage space for an object above the tear-open lid, the following procedure is used: first, a top edge of the can which has a smaller diameter than the inside diameter of the can body is formed, wherein a transition region (6) is formed. After the tear-open lid has been attached, this transition region is deep drawn so that the tear-open lid (2) is displaced towards the bottom (5) of the can. This produces the storage space. This procedure allows previously formed tear-open lids to be used, which safely guarantees the imperviousness of the seal of the tear-open lid.

A container assembly including a body and a lid, the lid comprising a rotational and axial guide feature extending radially from a radially interior surface of a lid sidewall. The rotational and axial guide feature is designed to provide axial translation/retention of an accessory when the accessory is rotationally engaged with the lid sidewall. The container and accessory can include an interface that creates a gas impervious/liquid impervious seal therebetween. The seal can be provided between sealing surfaces of the container and the accessory. The lid can include or exclude a bottom wall. A resealable container lid assembly including a cap rotationally assembled to a lid. The cap rotates between storage, opening, removal and resealing positions. Operation between the cap and the lid employs any suitable mechanical interface, such as cam tracks and cam followers. The lid includes a tear panel defined by a score line. Features of the cap are used to impinge upon the lid to fracture the score line and open the tear panel. Once opened, the cap can reseal the container. The invention relates to a method with the following steps: provision of a lid panel with a pouring opening and at least one guide opening, preferably with two guide openings; bringing together of an inner slide piece and a side of the lid panel that is provided as container inner face; bringing together of an outer slide piece and a side of the lid panel that is provided as a container outer face; connection of the inner with the outer slide piece via at least one connection element arranged at least partially in the at least one guide opening; bringing together a closure element and the side of the lid panel that is provided as a container inner face with the inner slide piece; and producing a coupling between the closure element and the inner slide piece.
