Composition or combination comprising anionic dietary supplement and 25-hydroxy vitamin D
Embodiments of a composition and/or combination comprising an anionic dietary supplement and 25-hydroxy vitamin D are disclosed. The anionic dietary supplement may be a negative dietary cation anion difference (DCAD) supplement and/or may comprise magnesium chloride, magnesium sulfate, ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate, and calcium sulfate, and/or complexes thereof. Also disclosed are embodiments of a method for administrating the combination and/or composition to an animal, such as a ruminant. In certain embodiments, the animal is a dairy cow, and the method may be a method for increasing milk yield, and/or improving the health of the animal.
Modification of feed consumption patterns in beef cattle rations
The present invention relates to feed compositions that can modify the feeding behavior of animals. Supplements can be added to no or low roughage rations that improve the performance of animals. In particular, the addition of calcium chloride to a low or no roughage ration can increase the number of feedings but decrease the amount of feeding per meal. This can result in promoting enhances feed conversion and better cost of feed to weight gain.

High fat poured feed block
Methods form high fat feed blocks having a total fat content of about 7 wt % to 33 wt %. The blocks are formed by blending a pourable composition having a viscosity of at least 1000 cP at 57° C. with high fat pellets having total fat content of at least 40 wt % based on pellet weight, where the pellets include at least one fat having a melt temperature of greater than 60° C. Also disclosed are feed blocks formed by the methods.

Pet Food Formulation
A prepared cat food has chicken meat and mouse meat, the chicken meat in at least ten times the mass of the mouse meat, vitamin supplements, and one or more mineral ingredients. The mouse meat in a substantially lesser mass than the chicken meat induces the cat to consume a greater volume of the prepared food than the cat would consume without the presence of the mouse meat, thereby supplying the cat with a greater volume of chicken meat, vitamin supplements and mineral ingredients than cat would consume in a product without the mouse meat.
