A pallet wrap system and manufacture for repair of wood pallets that extends the service life of wood pallets to reduce associated costs, environmental concerns, and workplace injuries. The wrap or wrap component comprises a plurality of portions hingedly attached to one another and configured to surround or cover a portion of a pallet. The wrap component may be manufactured using recycled material, such as paper, aluminum, or plastic, and may further include a chemical for properties such as elasticity, adhesion, and bonding grip. The wrap component may further be folded to such that it can be erected from a flattened state to form a display unit for products. The wrap may include printed information content such as advertising/marketing content, or manufacturer's or shipper's information, identification or logo to make sure that only that business' product is shipped or used with the identified pallet.

A piezoelectric generator structure disposed between an upper platform and a lower platform that includes a lower piezoelectric pad, an upper piezoelectric pad, and a connecting shaft. The lower piezoelectric pad coupled to the upper piezoelectric pad via the connecting shaft, where the lower piezoelectric pad is configured to compress under a downward motion of the upper platform during a compression movement due to an additional load being applied to an existing load on a top surface of the upper platform, where the lower piezoelectric pad produces a first voltage due to the compression movement. The upper piezoelectric pad configured to compress under an upward motion of the upper platform during a rebound movement of the upper platform, where the upper piezoelectric pad produces a second voltage due to the rebound movement. The generator structure configured to provide the first and the second voltage to a coupled power storage unit.

The present disclosure relates to a support rack for storing or transporting plate-shaped objects, a combination of a transport pallet and such a support rack, a kit of parts for manufacturing such a support rack and the use of such a support rack. In particular, the invention relates to support racks for storing and transporting plate-shaped articles such as glass panels, natural stone slabs, metal plates and the like, wherein the support racks consist mainly or entirely of plate-shaped, vertical support elements which are connected to each other by connecting slats.

A method for packaging articles for transportation including: a) preparing at least one pallet, wherein the pallet includes a base plate; b) placing at least one article to be transported onto the base plate; c) providing a transport box that is open toward the base plate over the at least one article to be transported, wherein the transport box is placed on the base plate in such a manner that the transport box together with the base plate forms an interior of a transport packaging unit which receives the at least one article to be transported; d) a closure step, wherein the transport box comprises a closable opening on a side opposite the base plate, wherein the closable opening is closed in the closure step; and e) at least one fixing step including fixing the transport box on the base plate with at least one fastening element.

This invention falls within the scope of pallets, more specifically pallet blocks, which form the base of a pallet or which are arranged between two platforms of a pallet, allowing the entry of forks from forklifts and other mechanisms of handling and stowing in warehouse, means of transport and containers. It is thus the object of this invention a pallet block (3) comprising a core (1) of wood particleboard and an outer layer (2) of wood fibreboard, the outer layer (2) at least partially coating the core (1), and the assembly formed by the core (1) plus the outer layer (2) being obtained by subjecting it to pressure. This enables a pallet block (3) to be obtained allowing high weights to be supported, without the whole block (3) being comprised of wood fibreboard, and with characteristics of robustness, thus avoiding the need for gluing between the elements.

Disclosed herein are embodiments of pallets and pallet components which can be formed from composite materials, such as composite polymer materials. The composites can include polymer-polymer composites as well as wood-polymer composites. Advantageously, the composite pallet components can be formed from recycled plastics, such as polypropylene and polyethylene, which can be acquired from used bottles.

A pallet includes a base layer and a cargo layer. The cargo layer includes a pair of spaced apart end deck boards, and intermediate deck boards between the pair of spaced apart end deck boards. Each end deck board and an immediately adjacent intermediate deck board are butted against one another. Spaced apart supports are coupled between the base and cargo layers and forming a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member.

In at least one embodiment, an apparatus for securing boxes on a pallet may a L-shaped structural member sized to run a length or a width of a pallet, the L-shaped structural member having a top side and a bottom side. The L-shaped structural member allows for securing a load on the pallet. The L-shaped structural member also provides additional surface area for plastic wrap to secure a load.

A securing apparatus configured to assist in securing objects to a pallet during packaging and shipping includes a main body having first and second wall portions spaced from one another to define a channel, and a hook extending from the main body via a neck portion. At least one of the first and second wall portions includes an anchor for engaging and being embedded in a pallet. A fastener may be received through an aperture of the main body to releasably attach the securing apparatus to a pallet, and the anchor may be at least partially embedded in the pallet. So configured, a filament may be looped about the hook to assist in securing objects to the pallet in a first securing configuration, and another filament may be received in the channel to assist in securing objects to the pallet in a second securing configuration.

A pallet reassembly system includes at least one block installation mechanism configured to install a block within a partially assembled pallet, at least one board installation mechanism configured to install a board within the partially assembled pallet, and at least one transport assembly for transporting the partially assembled pallet to each of the at least one block installation mechanisms and each of the at least one board installation mechanisms. The transport assemblies are arranged into a loop including at least two perpendicular arranged legs.
