Wooden pallet with nail plates and related methods
A wooden pallet includes a base layer, and a cargo layer. The cargo layer includes a pair of spaced apart connector boards, and a pair of spaced apart end deck boards orthogonal to the pair of connector boards. Respective ends of the pair of end deck boards overlap respective ends of the pair of connector boards. Nail plates are coupled between the respective ends of the pair of connector boards and the respective ends of the pair of end deck boards. Each nail plate has a first surface having projections extending outwards therefrom and embedded into one of the end deck boards, and a second surface opposite the first surface devoid of any projections and contacting an end of one of the connector boards. Spaced apart support blocks are between the base layer and the pair of connector boards in the cargo layer, and form a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member.
PLASTIC PALLET WITH SUPPORT BLOCKS HAVING INNER AND OUTER BLOCKS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet includes a top deck, a bottom deck, and spaced apart support blocks coupled between the top and bottom decks. Each support block includes an inner block and an outer block joined together. The outer block has an open top surface exposing an inner block receiving area therein, and includes a bottom surface, and first and second pairs of opposing outer block side surfaces between carried by the bottom surface. Each opposing outer block side surface has a pocket opening therein for also exposing the inner block receiving area. The inner block is inserted into the inner block receiving area of the outer block, and includes first and second pairs of opposing inner block side surfaces. Each opposing inner block side surface is aligned with a pocket opening in a corresponding outer block side surface so as to form a pocket by covering the pocket opening.
PLASTIC PALLET WITH SUPPORT BLOCKS HAVING UPPER AND LOWER TOWERS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet includes a top deck and a bottom deck, and spaced apart support blocks coupled between the top and bottom decks and forming a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member. Each support block includes a mid-section having spaced apart upper and lower surfaces, an upper tower extending from the upper surface of the mid-section, and a lower tower extending from the lower surface. The upper towers are inserted into corresponding upper tower openings in the top deck, and the lower towers are inserted into corresponding lower tower openings in the bottom deck.
PLASTIC PALLET WITH CENTERLINE MARKINGS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet includes a top deck having a rectangular shape, a bottom deck having a rectangular shape, and spaced apart corner support blocks and spaced apart intermediate support blocks coupled between the top and bottom decks and forming a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member. Centerline markings are carried by at least one of the top deck, the bottom deck, and the corner and intermediate support blocks so as to provide a visual aid to an operator of the lifting member.
PLASTIC PALLET WITH SUPPORT BLOCKS HAVING UPPER TOWERS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet includes a top deck and a bottom deck. The top deck has spaced apart upper and lower surfaces, with the lower surface having upper tower openings therein. Spaced apart support blocks are coupled between the top and bottom decks and forming a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member. Each support block includes an outer wall enclosing a center area, and a core structure having a rectangular shape within the center area, with upper surfaces of the core assembly and the outer wall being coplanar. An upper tower extends outwards from the core structure and into a corresponding upper tower opening in the top deck so as to provide a shear load transfer during impact with the lifting member. First ribs are between the outer wall and the core structure, and second ribs are within an interior area of the upper tower.
PLASTIC PALLET WITH SUPPORT BLOCKS HAVING POCKETS FOR PIN WHEELING AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet includes a top deck having a rectangular shape, a bottom deck having a rectangular shape, and spaced apart corner support blocks coupled between corners of the top and bottom decks and forming a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member. Each corner support block includes a pair of exposed side surfaces aligned with a respective corner, with each exposed side surface having a pocket formed therein for receiving an end of the lifting member so as to allow the pallet to be spun around.
PALLET ASSEMBLY
A method of transporting storage components includes the step of aligning a pallet that has a plurality of cavities that extend through the pallet on a fixture that has a plurality of plugs that each correspond to a location of the plurality of cavities that extend through the pallet. A wheel is aligned on a dolly with one of the cavities in the pallet. The wheel is supported on the dolly with the plug on the fixture. The pallet is separated from the fixture such that the wheel on the dolly becomes recessed in a corresponding one of the cavities in the pallet.
Composite pallet structure
A composite pallet structure includes a unit pallet including: upper and lower basic supporting boards, at least two spaced-apart auxiliary rods attached to each of the corresponding sides of the upper and lower basic supporting boards, a plurality of spacers distributed between the auxiliary rods on the upper basic supporting board and the auxiliary rods on the lower basic supporting board, and a plurality of fixing elements for restricting the spacers within the space between the upper and lower basic supporting boards in order for the unit pallet to have high supporting strength. The composite pallet structure needs no soldering and, therefore, can be easily repaired and recycled.
PROTECTING PALLET BLOCKS
The present invention provides a block protector assembly including a protector contoured to conform to a block of pallet where the pallet includes a plurality of blocks, and an attachment mechanism coupled to the protector, where the attachment mechanism is configured to secure the protector to the block of the pallet, where the protector includes a rigid material. The present invention also provides a method including determining a contour of a block of a pallet, fabricating a protector to follow the contour of the block, and securing the protector to the block. In addition, the present invention provides a protector configured to prevent damage to a block of a pallet, where the protector includes a first side contoured to a first side of the block, a second side contoured to a second side of the block, and a third side contoured to a third side of the block.
