A cutting head includes a main body that is attachable to an ice drill shaft at a top side. The main body includes a bottom side that has a bottom peripheral surface. The cutting head includes at least one cutting edge that is disposed on the main body. The cutting edge is configured to perform a cutting operation at the bottom side of the main body. The cutting head includes a cutting rate control pad that is disposed on the bottom side of the main body. The cutting rate control pad extends away from the bottom peripheral surface.

A Y-shaped fishing rod holder is provided having two upper portions spaced apart from one another and a vertical post having a proximal end and a distal end, the vertical post extending from a center location of the Y-shaped fishing rod holder and an optional, removable cone disposed proximate the distal end of the vertical post. An electrical speaker unit is mounted to the Y-shaped fishing rod holder. An LED is attached to each of the upper portions of the fishing rod holder. A retractable, spring-loaded trigger assembly is supported by the Y-shaped fishing rod holder and electrically connected to the power supply via a momentary switch. In another embodiment, a detachable ladder assembly supports the fishing rod holder and includes a folding ladder base with extendable support members having distal ends and a plurality of extension arms operatively connect thereto.

The cover system including a sleeve member and a cover, the sleeve member having a hollow tubular portion and a lip portion, the lip portion surrounding at least a portion of the hollow tubular portion and defining a cover recess having a cover recess depth, the cover shaped and sized to be positioned within the cover recess thereby selectively limiting access to the ice fishing hole, the cover having a cover thickness, the cover thickness being less than the cover recess depth, such that when the cover is positioned within the cover recess, the top surface of the cover is recessed below the top surface of the sleeve member, thereby inhibiting inadvertent removal of the cover from the sleeve member.

A cover system configured to selectively limit access to an ice fishing hole defined in a layer of ice. The cover system including a sleeve member and a cover, the sleeve member having a hollow tubular portion and a lip portion, the lip portion surrounding at least a portion of the hollow tubular portion and defining a cover recess having a cover recess depth, the cover shaped and sized to be positioned within the cover recess thereby selectively limiting access to the ice fishing hole, the cover having a cover thickness, the cover thickness being less than the cover recess depth, such that when the cover is positioned within the cover recess, the top surface of the cover is recessed below the top surface of the sleeve member, thereby inhibiting inadvertent removal of the cover from the sleeve member.
