Wheeled shipping cart with stackable trays
A wheeled shipping/transport cart includes a cart frame that supports a plurality of wheels. The cart frame supports a plurality of stackable trays. The trays include a tray frame with opposed end members, a plurality of longitudinal support members disposed between the opposed end members, and a plurality of upright members nesting with upright members of an adjacent tray. A support structure is disposed between the opposed end members to form an arc corresponding to a curved surface of an article to be supported by the support structure. A pin is received through each of the upright members of the plurality of stackable trays to retain the stackable trays in a stacked configuration.
Pallet with support elements configured as one-piece skids and related methods
A pallet includes a base layer, a cargo layer and spaced apart support elements positioned between the base layer and the cargo layer and forming a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member. The cargo layer includes a pair of spaced apart connector boards and a pair of spaced apart end deck boards orthogonal to the pair of connector boards. Each support element extends in length between the pair of spaced apart end deck boards and is configured as a one-piece skid, and includes an open recessed channel therein to receive a respective connector board from the cargo layer.
Modular deck system for use with movable platforms
Disclosed herein is a modular deck system that utilizes a combination of a movable platform having a plurality of vertical posts with engagement members. Decks, filled with freight, can be placed onto the vertical posts at various heights at different sections of the movable platform using a conveyance vehicle. Further, the height of the vertical posts can be extended using an extension post for securing tall cargo. The decks can also be locked to the vertical posts to prevent dislodgement of the deck during transport of the movable platform.
STILLAGE
Stillage comprising similar containers in vertical stacked apart relationship to one another. The container includes a flat load carrying surface for carrying items and corner fittings having a collar for cooperatively engaging with one end of support legs to support the container. The support leg has an external plug provided with a pocket having this spaced side walls at one end and an internal cavity surrounded by an enlarged flange at the other end. The lower end of a spacer for spacing apart two containers is received in the pocket of the support and the other end of the spacer is received within the internal cavity of the support leg which is provided with a guide for guiding movement of the spacer to adopt and maintain the correct vertical orientation to form a stable array of vertically stacked containers. The advantage of the stillage formed using the support leg and spacer is that a stable stacked array is formed enabling safe transport of items in the containers without risk of damage to the items.
MODULAR PALLETS
A modular pallet formed from a plurality of frame members and a plurality of deck members. The deck members extend between the frame members to define an upper deck surface and optionally a lower deck surface of the pallet. A plurality of spaced-apart channels are formed in at least an upper surface of the frame members to receive the deck members. In some embodiments the pallet may be configured as a stringer pallet and in other embodiments the pallet may be configured as a block pallet. In some embodiments the frame members are unitary stringers. In other embodiments the frame members are modular structures each comprising a block pallet subassembly and a deck support panel. The number, size, orientation and spacing of the channels formed in the frame members and the corresponding arrangement of the deck members may vary in different embodiments of the pallet. Once assembled, the frame members and deck members may be integrally connected, such as by heat welding. In some embodiments the pallet is formed from readily recyclable plastic.
Transport aid device and method for the use thereof
A transport aid device for at least two pallets, which each include a loading base that is oriented substantially horizontally in use, includes first and second supporting devices that each include at least one connecting element for mechanically connecting the supporting apparatus to at least the first pallet and two supporting bars which extend substantially in a vertical direction in use, each having a first end which forms an upper end of the supporting bar during transport. Two retaining elements are each arranged at a first end of one of the supporting bars. Each of the retaining elements is designed in a use position to retain or support the second of the two pallets in a vertically spaced position from the first pallet.
Platforms made of paper materials
A novel platform made of paper materials for the storage, stacking, handling and transportation of goods comprises a top deck comprising a plurality of top deck boards (20a-20e) and a plurality of support beam assemblies (30). The plurality of top deck boards (20a-20e) are attached at regular intervals and perpendicular to the plurality of support beam assemblies (30). In the platform, the top deck boards (20a-20e) and the support beam assemblies (30) are both constructed solely from a combination of a plurality of longitudinal elements having a L-shaped cross-section. The novel platform may further include a bottom deck (40a-40c) comprising a plurality of bottom deck boards which are also constructed solely from a combination of a plurality of longitudinal elements having a L-shaped cross-section.
Wooden pallet with nail plates and related methods
A wooden pallet includes a base layer, and a cargo layer. The cargo layer includes a pair of spaced apart connector boards, and a pair of spaced apart end deck boards orthogonal to the pair of connector boards. Respective ends of the pair of end deck boards overlap respective ends of the pair of connector boards. Nail plates are coupled between the respective ends of the pair of connector boards and the respective ends of the pair of end deck boards. Each nail plate has a first surface having projections extending outwards therefrom and embedded into one of the end deck boards, and a second surface opposite the first surface devoid of any projections and contacting an end of one of the connector boards. Spaced apart support blocks are between the base layer and the pair of connector boards in the cargo layer, and form a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member.
Pallet shelf system and method of storing goods on a pallet shelf system
A pallet shelf system for storing goods on standardized pallets in particular in the cargo hold of a truck or a lorry, the system being easy to assemble and disassemble at cargo is loaded and unloaded in the cargo hold; and a method of storing goods.
