In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided an improved disposable aluminum lids configured for use with a pan. The lid has a continuously rolled lip around a skirt that when placed on the pan is bent to secure the two together. The rolled lip around the entire periphery of the skirt includes both the sides and the corners of the improved disposable aluminum lid. This significantly reduces the possibility of cuts and injuries to the user with securing the lid to the pan or removing it therefrom.

A reclosable fold-back hatch cover recessed within the brim mount rotates about a U-shaped hinge between a closed and opened position quickly and reliably. When the hatch cover is rotated to its opened position it creates a hatch opening of sufficient size to access the beverage for the following purposes, including, but not limited to, dunking a confection, letting steam escape to cool a hot beverage, adding condiments, stirring the beverage, or adding and removing toppings such as whipped cream on the surface of the beverage, performed with the lid remaining fixed to the container rim.

The present invention relates to maximizing advertising space on product packaging. Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method of increasing advertising space on various product packaging by increasing the graphic space on and apparent volume of the packaging, such as those used for cosmetics and toiletries. Preferred embodiments include a product packaging with a partially or completely recessed container closure. Further preferred embodiments include a container closure that is threaded, fused, or snapped in to the body of the container. Embodiments of the invention can be modified to accommodate existing products or provide a unique package design for emerging products.

Centering aid for container lid

The present application discloses a centering aid for a container having a container trough, with an access opening, a container lid and a seal. In the closed state of the container, the seal is arranged between the container trough and the container lid. The centering aid has a first centering device, which is provided on either the container lid or the container trough, and a second centering device, which is provided on the other of either the container lid or the container trough. The first and second centering devices interact in such a way as to ensure that, in the closed state of the container, the seal is in contact with the container trough and with the container lid along the entire periphery of the access opening.

A mini-container for inter-modal shipping includes panels forming a pair of oppositely disposed side walls, a front wall, a back wall opposite to said front wall, a floor, and a roof. The side, front and back walls may releasably lock to one another to form an enclosure and unlock from one another. The panels are positionable between an erected-for-use configuration and a collapsed storage configuration. In the storage configuration, the side, front and back panels are stacked lying flat to form a stack of the panels laying on the base. The stack of panels is overlaid with the roof. The erected mini-containers are sized for space efficient loading of an inter-modal mobile transport conveyor such as an automobile carrier, train, ship or plane. In their storage configuration the mini-containers may be carried on the mobile transport conveyors for later use carrying cargo and may be carried in a stack simultaneously with mini-containers carrying cargo. The mini-containers may be sized so as to enclose at least two standard-sized pallets or at least three standard-sized boxes positioned side-by-side and adjacent the base of the mini-container.

The nestable shipping container has a geometry which permits insertion into and reception of similarly shaped containers to facilitate empty shipment and storage in a minimum amount of space. The nestable shipping container may be manufactured by a cold working method from a single blank of material. The containers may be manufactured to meet the performance criteria required of international commerce shipping drums.

A metal closure having multiple thread engaging lugs configured to decrease the pressure exerted by the closure lugs on the neck of a container is provided. In various embodiments, the metal closure comprises a top wall, a skirt extending downward from a peripheral edge of the top wall, a lower edge included on the skirt, and a plurality of lugs formed at the lower edge of the skirt. Pressure may be decreased by the closure having more lugs and/or larger lugs than other metal closures.
