METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN IMPROVED DISPOSABLE LID
In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided an improved disposable aluminum lids configured for use with a pan. The lid has a continuously rolled lip around a skirt that when placed on the pan is bent to secure the two together. The rolled lip around the entire periphery of the skirt includes both the sides and the corners of the improved disposable aluminum lid. This significantly reduces the possibility of cuts and injuries to the user with securing the lid to the pan or removing it therefrom.
Container for smokeless tobacco products
A container adapted for storing a product is provided. The container includes a body having a bottom wall and a side wall. The bottom wall and the side wall define an internal storage compartment adapted for storage of a plurality of units of a product. The side wall has an outer peripheral surface. A rib structure is engaged with the body about the outer peripheral surface of the side wall and extends outwardly therefrom. A cover is configured to be removably engaged with the body. The cover includes a top wall and a peripheral flange having an inner surface. The inner surface is substantially smooth and is configured to interact with the rib structure when the cover is received over the outer peripheral surface of the side wall so as to form an interference fit.
RINGLESS METAL CANS AND METHOD
A can comprises a can body (10) and a lid (4). The can body is manufactured using only a single homogeneous piece of material and has an edge that defines a top opening into the can. The can body also has an inwardly directed bead (23), which extends around the body, is adjacent to the can body edge, and defines an inwardly facing sealing surface (24) of substantially constant transverse cross-sectional dimension along an axial extent. The lid defines an outwardly directed sealing surface which abuts the inwardly facing sealing surface presented by the inwardly directed bead in order to seal the lid to the can body. An alternative can body has an inwardly directed pinched or collapsed bead which defines an upwardly facing sealing surface (34) for engagement with a downwardly facing sealing surface of a can lid. The alternative can body additionally has an inwardly directed bead (35) between the can body edge and the pinched or collapsed bead. An outer brim (42) of the lid is configured to be retained between the two beads of the alternative can body.
Container seal for the storage of dangerous liquid material
Exemplary embodiments provide a seal between an open body end of a container body and an edge of a lid which is pressable into the open end of the body in a sealing manner, both made from sheet metal, wherein at the end of the body the sheet metal is bent outward by approximately 180 with a bending radius, the lid edge, which is separated from a lid surface by a channeled bead, extending axially upward with its radially external defining edge of the bead beyond an axial position of the lid surface and being bent outwards with a radius which is larger than the bending radius at the body end, to form a rolled edge for receiving an annular sealing material filling the rolled edge and extending downwards, wherein a sheet edge of the rolled edge terminates at a radial distance before the defining edge, said distance being dimensioned such that during the sealing process the body end, with the bending radius thereof in contact with the defining edge of the lid, may be inserted between the same and the sealing material into the interior of the rolled edge.
COSMETIC PRODUCT COMPRISING A METAL CAN, AND THE CONTENTS OF SAME
Disclosed is a cosmetic product comprising a metal can which contains a cosmetic preparation and comprises a metal container (A) with thread (A) and a lid (D) having a thread (D) and consisting of the same metal as the container. The lid is designed such that it can be screwed onto or unscrewed from the container by a rotational movement. The cosmetic preparation comprises an emulsion of one or more hydrophilic phases and one or more lipophilic phases. The one or more lipophilic phases contain at least one lipid with a viscosity at 25 C. of less than 15 mPa.Math.s and a spreading coefficient at 25 C. of at least 700 mm.sup.2/10 minutes.
Metal container and end closure with seal
Embodiments of the present invention include food and beverage packaging utilizing heat seal technology, and specifically include food and beverage containers with end closures having seals or liners and snap-fit closure mechanisms. In some embodiments, the food and beverage containers and the end closures are metal. In further embodiments, the food and beverage containers include a domed portion on the bottom closed end. The end closures can snap onto the food and beverage containers such that the packaging is reclosable. Moreover, the sealed packaging with reclosable features can retain a variety of internal pressures including pressures higher than possible with the heat seal alone.
DRINK CONTAINER AND LID ASSEMBLY THEREOF
A drink container and a lid assembly thereof are provided. The drink container includes a container body and the lid assembly, the lid assembly includes a first lid and a second lid, the first lid is screwed at an opening end of the container body through screw threads, the first lid has a top portion, and the top portion of the first lid has an opening portion. The second lid is disposed above the first lid, the second lid includes a plunger component, and a bottom portion of the plunger can be engaged with the opening portion and sealed with the opening portion. The plunger component is connected to a connection arm, and one side of the connection arm corresponding to the plunger component is pivotally connected to a pivot portion of the first lid. The plunger component has a second accommodating space configured to accommodate a straw.
RESEALABLE CAN CLOSURE SYSTEM
Resealable containers comprising a closure system comprising a fixed element and a movable closure element are disclosed. The containers may be constructed to be resealable and improve sanitary conditions of a dispensing aperture and allow for easier opening with the ability to be resealed, over a conventional container. Methods of manufacturing the resealable container and components thereof are also disclosed.
Closure cap and vessel with such a closure cap and method for producing the closure cap
The invention relates to a closing cap (11) and a method for producing a closing cap for a container (10) for receiving cosmetic creams, liquids or pasty substances, such as in particular mascara, the closing cap (11) being designed as a material hybrid and having a connective area for establishing a connection realized as a screw connection, bayonet connection or the like between the closing cap (11) and the container (10), the connective area being formed on an inner side (15) of a base body (12) made of metal, plastic or ceramics. The connective area has a plastic material as a contacting material in merely a portion for forming a physical contact between the closing cap (11) and the container (10) and the remaining portions are made of the same material as the base body (12).
CONTAINER ASSEMBLIES WITH PAPER-BASED END CLOSURES
The present disclosure is directed to recyclable, composite container assemblies with improved characteristics resulting from a combination of raw materials, structural design, systems, and methods for sealing a paper-based closure to a paper-based container body. The container assemblies demonstrate superior performance and seal properties, such as very low oxygen transmission rates and high resistance to bulging and/or damage due to high pressure differentials. The disclosed container assemblies, manufactured at high speeds, have been optimized by increasing the shelf-life of food products stored therein, while minimizing any non-paper materials such that the container assemblies qualify as recyclable mono-material.
