A foil of a tagger ring foil (TRF) closure system for a container, such as a can, is provided. The foil comprises a composite of two or more layers made from different materials instead of aluminum only.

CONTAINER HAVING SNAP FIT CLOSURE

A container having first and second parts and having snap fit closure for holding contents therein. The first part has a trim extending outwardly along a perimeter of the first part and a first tab extending outwardly from the trim at a first side of the first part and the first part has a second tab extending outwardly from the trim at a second side of the first part; and a second part has a rim extending around its perimeter, the second part defining a first opening at the rim at a first side of the second part, the second part defining a second opening at the rim at a second side of the second part. The first tab is received in the first opening and the second tab is received in the second opening thereby providing a snap fit closure between the first part and the second part.

CLOSURE CAP AND VESSEL WITH SUCH A CLOSURE CAP AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE CLOSURE CAP

The invention relates to a closing cap (11) and a method for producing a closing cap for a container (10) for receiving cosmetic creams, liquids or pasty substances, such as in particular mascara, the closing cap (11) being designed as a material hybrid and having a connective area for establishing a connection realized as a screw connection, bayonet connection or the like between the closing cap (11) and the container (10), the connective area being formed on an inner side (15) of a base body (12) made of metal, plastic or ceramics. The connective area has a plastic material as a contacting material in merely a portion for forming a physical contact between the closing cap (11) and the container (10) and the remaining portions are made of the same material as the base body (12).

CAN ENDS, METAL CANS AND APPARATUS FOR DISPENSING THEREFROM

A tab-less metal can end for seaming onto a metal can body. The can end comprises a substantially circular and planar panel, a chuck wall extending around the periphery of the panel and defining a curl, and a discontinuous score formed in said panel and following a circular path substantially concentric with said chuck wall, the score defining a hinge between first and second ends of the score.

Container (1) comprising a substantially tubular metal container body (2) having a top opening defined by an outwardly curled edge, and a bottom opening. The container further comprises a peelable lid (9) bonded to an upper surface of said curled edge to close said top opening in an airtight manner, the outermost edge of the peelable lid not extending beyond an outermost extent of said curled edge, and a metal closure (4) comprising a generally planar centre panel (8) and a downwardly extending sidewall (7) depending from a peripheral region of the centre panel and terminating with an inwardly or outwardly directed fold (12), and a plurality of features (5) pressed into the sidewall at respective circumferentially spaced locations between said peripheral region and the fold, wherein the radial inward extent of the features is greater than that of the fold. The closure and the container body have relative dimensions to allow the features to pass over said curled edge during closure and to be retained beneath the curled edge to resist removal of the closure.

A lid assembly for an in-ground meter box that can withstand substantial loads (e.g., 22, 500 lbs) without deformation. The lid assembly includes a metal frame secured to the bottom side of a plastic lid to allow the plastic lid to seat tightly for covering the in-ground meter box. The metal frame provides the rigidity and strength to withstand the loading while simultaneously providing the lid with sufficient weight to make it non-bouyant, i.e., should the surrounding ground environment become flooded, the lid is heavy enough to remain in place, covering the meter box and will not float away. The metal frame also is detectable by a metal detector should the lid every be covered over with debris and need to be located. The plastic lid body (e.g., linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)) of the lid assembly avoids radio signal interference or attenuation emanating from a transmitter positioned within the meter box.

SELF-CLOSING DRUM LIDS WITH CONTROLLED CLOSING RATES

Self-closing drum lids that automatically close at controlled rates are disclosed. When the lid is manually rotated to a fully open position, it automatically begins self closing with a transition from a relatively slow rate that allows a user to add material and/or remove material from the drum without having to hold the lid open by hand. After the slow-closing stage, the lid begins to close at a faster rate until the lid rotates to a fully closed position on the drum. The self-closing drum lids may be attached to a drum via a drum band, and may include a latching mechanism.
