Aspects of the disclosure relate to a package, an article carrier for packaging a plurality of articles and to a blank for forming the article carrier. The article carrier may package at least one article having a recess. The article carrier comprises a plurality of panels for forming a tubular structure for surrounding at least one article. The article carrier comprises an article retention device for engaging a recess of one of said at least one article. The article retention device may inhibit dislodgement of the article from at least one of opposite open ends of the tubular structure in a setup carrier. The tubular structure defines a tubular axis. The article retention device comprises a flap hingedly connected to a first one of the plurality of panels along a first fold line. The first fold line extends at an acute angle with respect to the tubular axis. The acute angle may be no more than 50 degrees.

Carrier with handle features

A carrier for holding at least one article includes a plurality of panels and a handle. The plurality of panels extends at least partially around an interior of the carrier, and the plurality of panels includes a top panel, a bottom panel, and at least one side panel. The handle includes at least one handle feature in the top panel. The at least one handle feature includes a plurality of foldably connected handle sections that includes a first outer section and a second outer section each foldably connected to a central section and such that the at least one handle feature is positionable between a first, substantially flat configuration and a second, substantially recessed configuration wherein the handle is activated for carrying the carrier.

A carton for packaging one or more articles includes a plurality of panels for forming a top wall, a base wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. The carton includes an access structure for dispensing the one or more articles. The access structure includes a first detachable section, defined by a first series of frangible connections, and a second detachable section, defined by a second series of frangible connections. The first detachable section and second detachable section share a common portion of one of the plurality of panels.

The tear strip dispensing feature allows a first portion of the carton to be removed from a second portion of the carton. The first portion of the carton includes a carrying handle allowing the first portion to function as a smaller, standalone carton. The second portion of the carton is operative to function as a dispensing tray. Both the first portion and the second portion of the carton may fit into a relatively small space, such as, for example, the space between shelves in a refrigerator.
