A carrier for carrying a plurality of containers includes a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carrier, the plurality of panels including a top panel, a first side panel, a second side panel, and at least one bottom panel. At least one gusset is foldably connected to the at least one bottom panel and one of the first side panel and the second side panel, and the at least one gusset extends between the one of the first side panel and the second side panel and the at least one bottom panel. At least one top retainer is foldably connected to the top panel and extends across one end of the carrier. A handle extends across at least the top panel for grasping and carrying the carrier.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a package, an article carrier for packaging a plurality of articles and to a blank for forming the article carrier. The article carrier may package at least one article having a recess. The article carrier comprises a plurality of panels for forming a tubular structure for surrounding at least one article. The article carrier comprises an article retention device for engaging a recess of one of said at least one article. The article retention device may inhibit dislodgement of the article from at least one of opposite open ends of the tubular structure in a setup carrier. The tubular structure defines a tubular axis. The article retention device comprises a flap hingedly connected to a first one of the plurality of panels along a first fold line. The first fold line extends at an acute angle with respect to the tubular axis. The acute angle may be no more than 50 degrees.

A carton includes a top wall (12a/12b), first side wall (14), second side wall (18), first end wall, a second end wall and a bottom wall (16). The carton has a handle structure (H) defined at least in part in an outer panel (12b) and at least in part in an inner panel (12a). The outer panel is disposed in overlapping relationship with the inner panel to form the top wall. The outer panel includes an outer handle strap (30) while the inner panel includes an inner handle strap (32).

The outer handle strap is continuously formed with the outer panel at its first end and severably attached to the outer panel at its second end by a frangible connection (46). The inner handle strap includes a first end disposed in the inner panel and continuously formed with the inner panel.

A carton includes a first panel and a second panel in overlying relationship with each other so as to form a composite wall and a handle structure formed in the composite wall. The handle structure includes a first end portion formed from the first panel, a grip portion extending from the first end portion into an access opening in the composite wall and a second end portion disposed under the first panel and coupled to the grip portion.

A carton includes an outer shell (102) defining an interior space with upper and lower tiers. A divider (120) is disposed at least in part in the outer shell dividing between the upper and lower tiers. A tear strip (118) defined in the outer shell operatively connecting an upper portion of the outer shell to a lower portion thereof. The upper portion defines a six-sided structure, a bottom side of which includes the divider. The upper portion is configured to be removed from the lower portion by lifting the upper portion after the tear strip is activated.

A carton (90) includes a first panel (12) and a second panel (20) in overlying relationship with each other so as to form a composite wall and a handle structure (H) formed in the composite wall. The handle structure includes a first end portion formed from the first panel, a grip portion (32,36) extending from the first end portion into an access opening (A1,A2,A3) in the composite wall and a second end portion disposed under the first panel and coupled to the grip portion.

A handle structure (H) for a carton having a handle panel (12, 20) includes a strap member integrally conjoined with the handle panel and extending substantially between the opposing end edges (21a, 21c, 29a, 29c) of the handle panel. The strap member has opposing strap edges substantially disjoined from the handle panel and includes a substantially centrally disposed grip region (HI, H2). A severance line segment (65a, 67a) is disposed proximate each corner of the handle panel and extends from a first end point proximate that corner to a second end point proximate the grip region such that when force (F) normal to the plane of the handle panel is exerted upon the grip region, the strap member is flexed substantially outwardly of the plane to a biased position above the plane. The handle structure further includes a pair of first and second fold lines (79a, 77a) extending from each severance line segment and converging towards the adjacent corner of the handle panel.

A carton for holding a plurality of containers. The carton comprises a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carton and a dispenser comprising a dispenser panel. The dispenser panel is at least partially defined by a tear line extending in at least one panel of the plurality of panels. The dispenser panel can be at least partially removable from the carton to create a dispenser opening. The carton also can comprise a handle for grasping and carrying the carton. The handle comprises a handle feature extending in at least the dispenser panel, and at least a portion of the handle can be removable from the carton with the dispenser panel.

A carton (90) has a two part handle structure (H). The two part handle structure includes: a first integrally formed part including two arcuate slots (40, 42) spaced by a gripping portion (50); and a second reinforcing part including a reinforcing member (60) attached to at least the gripping portion of the first integrally formed part of the handle. The reinforcing member is pre-cut such that the profile of the reinforcing member includes at least one curved section that is not aligned with a perimeter of at least one of said two arcuate slots. The reinforcing member is formed from material that is separate from the material from which the first integrally formed part of the handle is formed.

A carton includes an outer shell (102) defining an interior space with upper and lower tiers. A divider (120) is disposed at least in part in the outer shell dividing between the upper and lower tiers. A tear strip (118) defined in the outer shell operatively connecting an upper portion of the outer shell to a lower portion thereof. The upper portion defines a six-sided structure, a bottom side of which includes the divider. The upper portion is configured to be removed from the lower portion by lifting the upper portion after the tear strip is activated.
