A light emitting device includes a semiconductor nanocrystal and a charge transporting layer that includes an inorganic material. The charge transporting layer can be a hole or electron transporting layer. The inorganic material can be an inorganic semiconductor.

A carton includes a plurality of panels for forming a structure for containing the one or more articles (C), and a dispenser (D) having an access panel (35). The access panel is at least partially defined by a frangible line (64, 66, 68, 70, 75, 72, 74, 76, 78, 80) extending in at least one of the plurality of panels. The access panel is at least partially removable from the carton (90) to thereby form a dispenser opening. The carton further includes a handle structure (H) for grasping and carrying the carton. The handle structure extends only partially within the access panel such that only a portion of the handle structure is removable from the carton with the access panel.

A carton (90) has a two part handle structure (H). The two part handle structure includes: a first integrally formed part including two arcuate slots (40, 42) spaced by a gripping portion (50); and a second reinforcing part including a reinforcing member (60) attached to at least the gripping portion of the first integrally formed part of the handle. The reinforcing member is pre-cut such that the profile of the reinforcing member includes at least one curved section that is not aligned with a perimeter of at least one of said two arcuate slots. The plurality of panels includes a top panel, a bottom panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel. The carton has a display feature including a display opening in at least one of the first side panel and the second side panel, and a display panel foldably connected to the top panel. The display panel is located in the interior and spaced-apart from the opening. The display panel is at least partially visible through the display opening.

A carton for holding at least one article. The carton includes a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton and a plurality of end flaps respectively foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels for closing at least one closed end of the carton. The carton comprises at least one asymmetrical corner extending between a top of the carton and a bottom of the carton and that transitions between a first configuration at one of the top and the bottom of the carton and a second configuration at the other of the top and the bottom of the carton.

A carton for holding containers can be converted from a first configuration for storing and shipping the containers therein to a second configuration in which the carton forms an open-top cooler for chilling and serving the containers. A beverage container cooling carton is dimensioned for increased ice surface contact with the outer surfaces of a number of the beverage containers such that heat transfer between the ice and beverage containers occurs efficiently.

The container disclosed is modified from a rectangular, closed wall container to a container with part of the walls removed, thereby allowing easy access to the cans of the container. Applicant discloses a unique relationship between the walls of the opened container and the size of the beverage cans. Applicant also discloses a method for constructing a closed container that may be easily modified to remove the cans of the container.

A package including a carton and a plurality of articles. The carton can include a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of articles can be arranged in a plurality of rows of articles in the interior of the carton, the plurality of rows of articles can include at least a first row and a second row, and the first row can include at least one more article than the second row forming a void between a first article at an end of the first row and a second article at an end of the second row. A handle can include the first article at the end of the first row and a handle feature extending in the carton. The handle feature can be at least partially aligned with the void and can be proximate the first article.

A material for forming a carton for containing a plurality of articles. The material can comprise a plurality of layers comprising a first layer comprising a base and a second layer comprising an insulator. The first layer can be an exterior layer, and the second layer can be a interior layer. The layers of the plurality of layers can be respectively overlapped and attached to one another.
