A carton for holding a plurality of containers, the carton includes a top retainer having a top panel and at least one top end flap foldably connected to the top panel. The top panel includes at least one retaining portion having at least one receptacle for retaining at least one container of the plurality of containers, and the at least one retaining portion is removable from the carton. The carton further includes a tray having a bottom panel and at least one bottom end flap foldably connected to the bottom panel. The at least one top end flap and the at least one bottom end flap cooperate to form a closed end of the carton.

A carton for holding a plurality of containers. The carton can comprise a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels comprises a first top panel, a second top panel, and a side panel. The first top panel at least partially overlaps the second top panel. A crown retention panel can be foldably connected to the second top panel, and an attachment flap can be foldably connected to the crown retention panel. At least a portion of the crown retention panel can be spaced apart from the side panel in the interior of the carton, and at least a portion of the attachment flap can be at least partially in face-to-face contact with the side panel.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a top engaging article carrier (90) for packaging one or more articles (B) and a blank (10, 110, 210, 310, 410, 510) for forming the carrier. The top-engaging article carrier comprises an engaging panel having an upper panel (12A) and a lower panel (12B) disposed in face to face contacting relationship with each other. The article carrier comprises a top engaging device (RT) comprising a first article receiving opening (A1) in the lower panel and a second article receiving opening (A2) in the upper panel. The first article receiving opening comprises a first diameter (d1). The second article receiving opening comprises a second diameter (d2). The first diameter is greater than the second diameter. The article comprises: an upper end, having an end diameter (Cd); a main body, having a body diameter (Bd); and a neck disposed therebetween and having a neck diameter (Nd). A wraparound case includes a first blank component having no more than three panels including a closure panel, a first side panel and a second side panel and a second blank component includes a base panel portion having a first edge portion and a second edge portion, a third side panel, a fourth side panel, a first flap extending from the third side panel and a second flap extending from the fourth side panel. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a package (P; P; P), a tray (90) and a cover (190; 290; 390) for packaging one or more articles (B) and blank (10, 110; 210; 310) for forming the same. A combination of a tray blank (10) and a cover blank (110; 210; 310) is disclosed. The cover blank (110; 210; 310) comprises a pair of foldable flaps (118, 120; 214, 216; 314, 316) hingedly connected to respective ones of opposed ends or sides of a top panel (114; 212, 312A/312B) of the cover blank. Each of the foldable flaps (118, 120; 214, 216; 314, 316) extends to a free end. A free end of a first one of the foldable flaps (118, 120; 214, 216; 314, 316) is disposed at a first distance (Wc1, Wc2, Lcf) from a free end of a second one of pair of foldable flaps (118, 120; 214, 216; 314, 316) when in an erected form to create a cover (190; 290; 390). The first distance (Wc1, Wc2, Lcf) is equal to or less than a linear dimension (Lt1, Wt2) of a tray (90) formed from the tray blank (10).

A system for holding a plurality of containers includes an upper construct having a plurality of panels, each panel of the plurality of panels comprising a plurality of container retention features for at least partially receiving a respective container of the plurality of containers, and a lower construct, the lower having a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the lower construct for at least partially receiving the plurality of containers.

A clip type carrier for packaging articles of the type having a rim, bead, chime, undercut, waist or the like. The carrier comprises a first layer having a plurality of generally circular apertures and a second layer having a plurality of respective locking apertures. The locking apertures are provided with a plurality of locking tabs for engaging under an article rim in use. An aggregate effective aperture diameter, being approximately the generally circular aperture minus twice the thickness of the locking tabs, is greater than the diameter of the container rim, causing formation of a reinforcing rim at the periphery of the generally circular aperture once applied.

A carrier for holding multiple containers may include an upper carrier portion having several carrier sections. Each carrier section may include an attachment panel that at least partially defines multiple container openings for at least partially receiving respective containers and may include container retention tabs foldably connected to the attachment panel and extending into the container openings for at least partially engaging the containers. A handle panel may be foldably connected to each attachment panel. The carrier may further include a lower tray portion having panels that extend at least partially around an interior of the lower tray portion, including a bottom panel, at least one end panel, and at least one side panel. The interior of the lower tray portion may at least partially receive the containers, and each carrier section may be separably connected to at least one side panel of the lower tray portion.
