Peelable foil container closure having a wavy edge
A peelable foil closure includes a base extending longitudinally along a first, longitudinal axis and laterally along a second, lateral axis, and a skirt extending from the base. The skirt includes a first portion including a circular edge having a predominant portion located on a first side of the second axis. The skirt also includes a second portion including a wavy edge, and a pull tab located on a second side of the second axis.
DUAL OPENING DISPENSING PACKAGE
A dual opening dispensing package wherein, in one position, the package can be squeezed to remove product but also can be opened to full access such as for dipping French fries in ketchup.
Re-sealable flexible package with reinforced perimeter
Improved packages and methods for constructing packages are provided that reduce or prevent leakage into or out of the package. In particular, the package includes a base member and a lidding member with a reinforced perimeter portion that blocks channels that may form at the interface between the base member and the lidding member from extending to the edge of the base member, such that, e.g., liquids have no path to the package exterior. The perimeter portion may be a thicker region of a first film of the lidding member (e.g., a polyethylene emulsion), or the perimeter portion may be formed using permanent adhesive. Frangible layers and/or cut lines may be defined in the material of the base member or the lidding member to allow a controlled break to occur when the lidding member is peeled away from the base member to provide access to the package contents.
FILM SEAL ASSEMBLY AND SINGLE LID ASSAY CARTRIDGE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Film seal assemblies that seal one or more reagents within a sample cartridge, which allow for single lid cartridge designs. Such film seal assemblies can include one or more layers, a bottom-most layer that permanently seals with a sample cartridge having multiple chambers for one or more reagents, and top-most layer that releasably seals vent opening(s) in the film seal assembly and is removable by the end user. This configuration allows use of a single lid, which can be integrally formed with cartridge body or a separate component attached atop the cartridge body. The film seal assembly can include peelable liner(s) or can releasably attached to an underside of the single lid. Such film assemblies can include multiple layers that include a polypropylene layer for permanently sealing to a rigid propylene cartridge body and polyester top layers for releasably and hermetically sealing with a liner or the lid.
HEART VALVE STORAGE AND SHIPPING PACKAGING
Packaging systems and methods for wet storage and/or shipping of prosthetic heart valve or other medical devices are disclosed.
Container Closure with Vacuum-Indicating Pull Tab
A package that includes a container and a container closure having a vacuum-indicating pull tab. The container includes a longitudinal axis extending therethrough, a mouth, and a sealing surface. The container closure includes a seal membrane sealingly and removably coupled to the container sealing surface to seal the container, and a pull tab configured to extend from the seal membrane. Manipulation of the pull tab provides an indication of the presence or absence of a vacuum in the package.
DISPOSABLE SHOT GLASS WITH PEEL-OFF LID
System and process for creation of a single-serve shot-glass with a flared shaft, curved brim and peel-off lid. A lip attachment can be applied to the sealed shot-glass to define the flare shaft. The shot glass has a flat top edge to facilitate sealing of the lid. Embodiments can use a vibration plate, gears and/or conveyer belts to create the sealed shot-glasses with flared shafts. The lip or ring can create the flared shaft when integrated with the glass.
PACKAGE FOR A FOOD AND A TOPPING
Disclosed is an improved food package that includes a food bowl having an open top and a closed bottom and in which a food (e.g., hummus) and a topping are packaged. A sealing ledge extends inwardly from the food bowl downwardly from and below the open top thereof. A peel-off film that is sealed against the sealing ledge extends laterally across the food bowl above and in close proximity to the food and the topping. The peel-off film closes the food bowl and prevents the food and its topping from spilling out. By virtue of locating the peel-off film below the open top of the food bowl, a relatively low volume airspace is established between the film and the food to prevent a premature mixing of the food and the topping when the food package undergoes a high pressure processing (HPP) treatment.
Membrane lid with integrated two-stage tab system
The present invention relates to a resealable membrane lid for a container comprising a peelable portion and a removable portion. When the resealable peelable portion is peeled back, the seal onto the container is not disturbed. When the removable portion is removed from the container, the container contents may be accessed. The peelable portion may be resealed onto the container at any point in the process.
Container having a supporting structure between a closure membrane and lid
Container having support for a membrane (30) which is sealed (by sealing means or adhesive bonding) onto the inner side (41) of the container wall (40) of the container, particularly while the container is being filled with contents or by virtue of a positive pressure being introduced. The intention is to relieve the sealing of the membrane of loading, wherein the action of force during the filling operation from beneath is advantageous or easily withstandable. For this purpose, the container is provided with the container wall (40), a container opening (2), a lid (10), the membrane (30) and a supporting structure (20). The lid (10) closes the container opening (2). A portion of a membrane collar (31) of the membrane (30) is fastened on a portion of the inner side (41) of the container wall (40), a fastening region (33) therefore being formed. The supporting structure (20) has a supporting portion (21) and a carrying portion (22). The supporting portion (21) is assigned to the membrane (30) and the carrying portion (22) is assigned to the lid (10).
