TRAY FOR PACKAGING FOOD PRODUCTS CONSTITUTED OF A FLAT SHEET OF MULTI-LAYER MATERIAL AND PACK COMPRISING SUCH TRAY
A pack comprising a tray (1) constituted of a flat sheet of multi-layer material, with one paper-based lower layer and one plastic material upper layer, which has a perimetric edge (2), and an elongate cut (3) that extends near the perimetric edge (2) and is spaced from it, wherein between the elongate cut (3) and the perimetric edge (2) a portion of the flat sheet is identified which defines a frame (5) that at least partly surrounds an inner part (6) of the flat sheet on which a food product is positioned; at least one protective film (12) fixed to the tray (1) at both a first connecting zone (13) that extends continuously on the inner part (6) of the flat sheet in a closed ring that surrounds the food product, and at a second connecting zone (14) that extends at least along the frame (5) and externally relative to the first connecting zone (13).
PORTION CONTROL CUPS, LIDDING MATERIAL FOR SAID CUP, METHOD OF MAKING SAID CUPS AND LIDS AND DEVICE FOR FORMING A REMOVAL LINE IN SAID CUPS AND LIDS
A container can include a body having a volume defined therein for retaining a product. The body can include a top surface adapted to be sealed by a lid. The container further includes a channel defined in a portion of the body such that the channel is in fluid communication with the internal volume at a first end and sealed by a portion of the body at an oppositely disposed second end. The container further includes a top flange surrounding the top surface of the body and includes a portion that borders the channel, with removal line disposed in the container to define a removable portion. The removal line extends from a first edge to a second edge and through the channel such that the removable portion can be removed from the body along the removal line to expose the channel.
Meal tray
A meal tray comprising a plurality of divided compartments each having a substantially planar bottom portion and an encompassing wall extending upwardly therefrom to form an open upper end of the divided compartment, each divided compartment dimensioned to receive a different portion of a meal; an encompassing tray rim defining an open upper end of the meal tray; and a first tear portion comprising a first tear line defining a boundary of a divided compartment from at least one other divided compartment, the first tear portion configured to facilitate a separation of the defined divided compartment from at least one other divided compartments along the first tear line.
Package, method for manufacturing a package, and mold for application for the purpose of such method
A package comprises an entirety of a tray (10) having an open side and a ring-shaped cover rim (20) which is located at the open side of the tray (10), at an outer circumferential rim (16) of the tray (10), and which is connected to the tray (10) through a relatively weak breaking portion (30). For the purpose of manufacturing the package, a mold (41) is provided. Also, a sheet (40) is provided and placed in the mold (41), wherein a movement of the sheet (40) is forced in two different directions. The cover rim (20) is formed with an inner ring (21) in which an inward bulge (28) is realized, along at least a portion of the circumference thereof, as an aids in establishing a clamping connection between the cover rim (20) and the tray (10) once the cover rim (20) has been broken away from the tray (10).
Package with a fulcrum and a lever arm
A package including a container and a cover sheet, the container having a first section and a second section connected at a breakable joint, the first section includes a well, and the cover sheet is adhered to at least a portion of the first section and at least a portion of the second section and the cover sheet covers the well. Either the first section or the second section is adapted to pivot to assist in breaking the breakable joint in order to separate the first section and the second section, and allow removal of the cover sheet.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A MULTIPLE PRESCRIPTION ORDER
An ordering system that fills a prescription order is described. The ordering system comprises a Graphical User Interface, a transactional component, a production facility, a detailed labeling component, and a distribution point. The GUI is configured to receive at least one prescription order that is associated with a particular patient wherein the at least one prescription order comprises at least two different medications. The transactional component charges for processing the prescription order. The production facility receives the prescription order and fills a plurality of multiple prescription containers. Each of the multiple prescription containers is associated with a prescribed time interval determined by the prescription order, and each multiple prescription container comprises the different medications that are to be consumed at the prescribed time interval. The detailed labeling component is associated with the production facility, and the detailed labeling component is configured to generate a detailed label that provides a plurality of medical information regarding the medications to the patient. The distribution point provides the multiple prescription containers and the detailed label to the particular patient.

Dispensing of a substance
The invention proposes to dispense a substance from a container filled with a single portion of a substance. The container comprises a preformed deformable body defining a filling cavity which body has an opening and an integral planar circumferential rim surrounding said opening. The opening is closed by a cover sheet which is sealed to the circumferential rim by a circumferential sealing seam. The circumferential rim has a dispensing part which is covered by the cover sheet. A dispensing passage is formed between the dispensing part and the cover sheet. At the location of the dispensing passage is provided a weakened sealing seam portion, such that upon pressurizing the content of the container, the weakened sealing seam portion breaks and substance flows out of the container through the dispensing passage. The dispensing part is flat and the dispensing passage for the substance is defined by the cover sheet sealed to the flat dispensing part by at least two outwardly directed sealing seams. The outwardly directed sealing seams extend at a distance from one another from the circumferential sealing seam to the edge of the dispensing part.
Package
A package includes a lid and a container. The lid is adapted to mate with a brim of the container to close a top opening arranged to open into an interior product-storage region formed in the container.
