The first lid includes a container therein having a pivoting cover attached thereto, the pivoting cover includes at least one side wall adapted to cut worms into separate pieces, such that the canister is adapted to store worms and dirt therein, be opened and closed from either end, and cut worms into separate pieces for use as bait for fishing.

The biodegradable artificial bait composition is a composition to be used for an artificial bait for fishing, the composition comprising 10 to 30% by mass of gelatin, 25 to 80% by mass of a polyhydric alcohol; 9 to 55% by mass of water, and 0.005 to 3% by mass of at least one crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of alum, transglutaminase, monosaccharides, and polyphenols.
